Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.
Not only do I feel ” in the pink” ( in extremely good health and spirits , thanks to urban dictionary) but I am also wearing pink. I had eyed off this bright pink coat from New Zealand brand Coop earlier in the season at Yeltour , a local boutique, then promptly forgot about it after I started my chemo. Some things are just meant to be , wandering past the store I spied the coat in the window , not only was it my size it was on sale . Needless to say it came home with me.
I wore the coat over my recycled long leather skirt and black knit paired with black Trippen boots, black gloves and sunnies . John and I had walked into town for brunch and a few errands and stopped to take these photos in City Park on our way home.
This was my outfit for a dinner with my former work colleagues last week. Once again a touch of pink features in the fake fur jacket. The look on Raffy’s face seems to say – what is going on you are wearing pink again Mum. Don’t worry I haven’t been influenced by all the fuss about the release of the Barbie movie and its mixed reviews. I was asked by one of my Instagram followers if I will wear more colour now that my hair is its natural grey . Maybe but probably not as black is still my favourite colour , for me it is more about a mix of textures and different shapes , adding in a little colour with accesories.
Under the coat I wore a black Paule Ka knit and dark green ( I know it looks black) Sarak Paccinni skirt that I wore to my son’s wedding in 2016. Cream boots by Hispanitas , cream bangles and cream and black earrings finished the outfit.
I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone that reads my blog , the support I have received over the last few months means the world to me.

I love that coat – and it’s Schiaparelli pink, not Barbie pink. She (Elsa S) pioneered the use of this colour 100 years ago. Either way, you look fabulous, and yes, obviously, it was meant to be with that coat!! I love your wonderful clothes and accessories.

That is the most amazing pink! I would buy that coat in a heartbeat, even though I’m not sure if it’s a “spring” (warm) tone. Absolutely stunning.
I love the black pieces you wear, the textures and other details like your earrings make the monochrome outfits full of interest.
I’ll be buying a coat soon for winter, am bored with puffers. Last winter I wore a purple wool coat a lot (it used to belong to Penny).

I never really thought about it but when you wear black you do always add all kinds of texture.

Yes , the Barbie movie seems popular here too . Not that I know anyone here who has seen it and I don’t think it really is me either.
