Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.
Winter has been much milder this year with very few frosts and my garden is showing signs of an earlier than normal Spring.
This made me have a browse in my wardrobe at what hasn’t been worn so far this Winter. Not surprisingly there were quite a number of favourites that haven’t had an outing so far (chemo and a need for comfort took precedence) but I am determined to enjoy them before we travel in mid September.
Starting with my much worn and loved black Moyuru skirt , I added a tulle apron from Australian designer Dogstar based in Brisbane and a black and gold jacket from Maude Dainty (not sure if the fabric is brocade or a flocked velvet) . I will admit to buying the jacket last year and not wearing it once , not sure why , maybe I was waiting for the right boots .
I am having fun styling my short hair , sometimes it works well , other days not so much. I am now looking forward to saying goodbye to the last of the colour .
Regular blog readers will notice that I am not wearing sunglasses for today’s post , a rare occurence. Truth be told not only are my eyes more sensitive to light these days but as I have very hooded eyes ( a family trait) my eyes often look closed in photos . Sunglasses also are a favourite accessory and I have quite a collection.
Now back to the gold boots , a naughty post chemo purchase (I needed a treat) from the House of Shoes here in Launceston. They are Beaucoops , designed by a New Zealand , London based designer and made in Italy .
The first daffodils are making an appearance including these little Tete e Tete miniatures .
The camellias are also starting to bloom adding much needed colour in the garden .
Joining Gail at Is This Mutton for Wow on Wednesday.
I am a big fan of black and gold together and the booties are fabulous!

Thank you so very much Nancy , I can certainly see you in black and gold.
As ever I love the look and you definitely needed a treat and the boots are great. Loving this hair style. I’m thinking of being a bit more radical with my hair and looking for inspiration. Perhaps not as short as you have it, but more off, I think.
Take care – you’re looking so good 🙂

Do wear that top in your wardrobe , it deserves an outing and you may be like me and wonder why you haven’t worn it earlier.

Wow, what an absolute stunner of an outfit Jill!

Beautiful outfit! You look gorgeous with that hair cut. We are having a very hot summer here in the US. Flowers are pretty and a sign of warmth coming soon.

Glad you agree on the gold boots Elizabeth and they were just made for the jacket. I hope you had a wonderful weekend .
You look amazing! You have such beautiful eyes, it’s lovely to see them.
Thank goodness you’ve managed to give that brocade jacket an outing before the warmer weather arrives, it’d have been a crime not to share it with Blogland. xxx

Thank you so much Vix, I will show my eyes more often. The gold brocade jacket will hopefully get another outing this season , if not its a classic and will be worn forever.
You certainly have the right boots for your jacket now – both are gorgeous, as is the tulle apron! Seems like you’ve had a mild winter so far. Thanks for linking Jill.

Thank you so much Hena.
So glad you treated yourself to those divine boots. I bet you can find a thousand ways to wear them. But how chic yet edgy you look in your skirt and that jacket. Your shorter hair is fun. I would think it would be easy to style with just a little product or wax to spike it up or slick it back. You wear it well!!
