This and That

Hello everyone , hope this finds all well in your part of the world .

This was my outfit on Tuesday when I met my friend Annie for a catch up at our favourite coffee shop. It was a beautiful Autumn day but with a morning chill in the air when we met hence the need for my ApuntoB chartreuse linen coat which I wore over a Ted Baker shirt and Moyuru pants.

Having some fun with accessories , the velvet striped turban , Jackie Brazil bangles and necklace mixed with a couple of other multi coloured beads and my cream sunnies. All of the beads and one of the bangles were secondhand buys over many years. I also wore lime coloured socks and cream and black Hispanitas brogues.

Later in the day I had a doctor’s visit to review some test results – nothing serious just an annoying UTI which needed specific antibiotics and he commented on my outfit which was without the coat as it had warmed up. I explained as I had met a friend and we always liked to dress up . He shared with me that in his home city in West Africa there is a saying that it is the ladies in their finery that make the city shine , I really liked their way of thinking.

Yesterday, John, Raffy and I travelled down to Hobart for a consultation with the veterinary surgeon. We were so pleased that Raffy passed his check up with flying colours and is well on his way to a full recovery. The veterinary nurse who arranged his discharge back in January was on duty yesterday and commented on how happy he seemed which was so good to hear.

After the vet. visit we made a quick trip into the city were both John and I had a wiz around some of our favourite shops and I may have made my first clothing purchase this year. We also stopped for a bite of lunch , soup for me and a savoury French toast for John, before our drive home.

I wore a Rundholz dress ( a secondhand purchase) topped with a leather jacket, my Westwood beret that I bought last year in Japan, rubber necklace made by Mika in Brisbane, black fishnet tights and Fly London shoes, a mock croc. leather belt and sunnies.

I am joining Gail at Is This Mutton for Tuesday Twirl (very late).

Chartreuse is a fantastic colour, we don’t see it often enough. Love how Raffy’s lead is another pop of red.

I loved seeing you in green, Jill! You look fantastic in black and white so it’s a fun surprise to see you in a color and one that is fabulous on you. I love what your doctor told you (I hope you’re feeling better soon). I have to admit I really like being known as the docent with the cool clothes! I love that turban…wonder if I could pull one off! I’m so glad Raffy had a good check up. I’m going to be anxiously waiting to see your “maybe” first purchase of the year!
