Hello everyone , hope all is well in your corner of the world.
Black and white continues to be one of my all time Summer colour combinations . This was my outfit for a tea and talk catch up with my friend Janet this morning. Once again it is a mix of favourites from previous Summers , a Moyuru squiggles tunic top worn over giant polka dot pants from Alembika .
The day started off a little cooler but bright and sunny so I decided a wide brim hat was in order for sun protection . I choose the natural straw boater that I have had for many Summers . As it turned out the sun disappeared behind the clouds and it became windy so I carried the hat for much of the morning.
I also added a collection of black and white bangles, black and white earrings , Dior white sunnies (a recycled find) , Trippen sandals and a Christina Brampti necklace. The black and white heart shaped bag holds a special meaning for me . I was contacted by a lovely lady in Sydney through Instagram who as part of her recovery from her cancer journey she makes the bags (called love bags) for others following a similar journey. I was very touched by her kindness.
Things here are still a little quiet while Raffy is still recovering from the surgery – he is doing well but it is a long road .
Last week on our way back from Hobart we bought two boxes of apricots so as well as enjoying them fresh I have been stewing them for the freezer to have over the Winter months . Over the weekend I also made a rather delicious apricot and almond tart.
We also had a visit from the Hobart family which was lovely . The boys had been told about Raffy and initially were rather cautious but after he was so excited to see them, they enjoyed gently patting him and giving him some treats. Little Hamish was even keen to join Raffy in his temporary cage.
On another note little Hamish , now four and a half is to start kindergarten next week and his big brother , Harry, is to start grade two .
With time on my hand and it being way too hot to spend time in the garden(other than to water) I have been albeit slowly sorting out my wardrobe spaces. I am not one to part with things just because they haven’t been worn for a season or two but know I must get tougher with myself .
Have a good week everyone and thank you for reading.

That’s one gorgeous outfit and so together. You’ve really got the knack of accessorising perfectly in tune with your outfit.
Very best wishes to Raffy and his nurse!

Thank you so very much Penny, you know me I do love my accessories. Raffy is coming along well.
I love apricots but they are not usually great here in the US! I am loving your top/tunic and its flow! Lovely for summer!

Thank you so very much Mirielle , the outfit was cool and comfy for a fairly warm day. Pity you can’t get good apricots , they are a favourite of mine.
I think it’s interesting you equate black and white with summer while I equate it with cooler seasons. Either way, this is another of your outfits I absolutely love. You have such impeccable taste, Jill! And, your heart shape bag is beautiful…what a kind thought. I hope that lady is recovering well. I’m glad to read Raffy is well on the road to recovery. And, what fun times for your grandsons! I hope they have a fantastic school year.

Thank you so very much Marsha . Isn’t it interesting how we view colours and seasons. I am still in contact with Barbie , who made the bag and she is doing well.
Raffy seems to improve a little each day. I am sure the boys will enjoy their school year.
One of my favourite looks! I love every detail. The apricot and almond tart is making my mouth water…..
