Hello everyone , hope this finds all well in your part of the world.
Things have still been rather quiet around here as our little Raffy recovers from his accident and the following surgery. He is coming along well and now is able to stand unaided and with the help of a sling he is having short walks. Tomorrow we drive down to Hobart for his one month post surgery check .
He also has started hydrotherapy, the first went really well , the second not quite as successful but beneficial, nevertheless.
This was my outfit to take him to hydrotherapy – my much loved Rundholz pants paired with a Rundholz shirt from last year, Fly London sandals , sunnies, a couple of white bangles and white and perspex daisy earrings (all recycle finds).
It is always a rather lean flower time in the garden this time of year except for a smattering of roses and some rather impressive lilies that I bought on special from one of the online bulb suppliers and planted last Spring. Most of them are white or burgundy but the star is this paler pink double one.
I am still in the process of going through my wardrobe and really only keeping what makes my heart sing. I don’t adhere to the if you haven’t worn it for a season then it has to go rule. I adore this vintage embroidered jacket that I found second hand a few years ago and no I haven’t worn it for a while but know I will again and I will never part with it. This photo was from the Summer of 2019 when I was blonder with a longer bob , maybe I will go there again.
So far so good on being more selective on my clothes shopping front , I haven’t bought a single thing yet this year and will be far stronger as my favourite season for clothes (Winter) starts hitting our shops and online , although I am very selective there. I was actually rather proud of myself last week when I was offered a lovely jacket that once I would of bought immediately but this time I considered carefully before deciding that I really didn’t need another jacket.
That really is enough of my musings for now .

I am so glad to hear that Raffy is recovering well. It’s so difficult with animals as they can only tell us with their eyes and their actions. Hopefully, his one month visit will go well. I agree that getting rid of something just because you didn’t wear it for a year or two is silly. I have clothing I haven’t been able to wear for almost five years. I’m glad I didn’t succumb to getting rid of it, thinking I’d never wear it again. It’s like discovering a brand new wardrobe. I’m being careful about what I’m now purging as I hope not to regain the weight. But, I’ve been down that road before. I’ve put lots of things in bins in storage and will decide in a couple of years. As always, I think you look stunning! That hat is just amazing!

Thank you so very much Marsha . Raffy did get a good report from the vet. surgeon in Hobart yesterday. We do learn don’t we not to be too quick to clean our wardrobes . That hat will always be one of my alltime favourites.
Pretty outfits as usual, love the hat. So glad Raffy is doing good. I’m still mad he got hurt!!

Thank you so very much Elizabeth. Our little patient is doing well and making steady progress.
I am really being careful with my clothes shopping now but now doubt will be tempted .
I’m so pleased to get a Raffy update. I’m not sure if there’s anything avaiable near to you but when I worked for a chiropractor many years ago, the doctors would treat dogs as well as humans and the resuts were really good, it may be something worth considering in the future.
That jacket is stunning and I’m relieved to hear that you’re hanging on to it. Like you, every so often I have a wardrobe rethink and sell the clothes that don’t make me feel as wonderful as they used to. There’s no place in my life for clothes that don’t fill me with joy!

Thanks for the tip about the chiropracter Vix.
Couldn’t agree more – our clothes should only make us happy.
