Patience Is a Virtue

Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.

I have missed blogging and even though my technical issues are not resolved I am back attempting to write this post . We will see how it goes.

Despite the title of this post those that know me well will disagree that patience is one of my virtues. This time it does actually apply and I will explain. I had seen the rather amazing skirt by Brisbane designer , Masayo from Dogstar Designs when she showcased it in New York early last year online and knew it was so me . It was all my favourite things, black and white , oversized dots and a touch of drama. I had hoped it would arrive for Winter last year but no , so when it finally arrived this Winter I was so excited and ordered the skirt immediately from Tiffany Treloar in Melbourne. The skirt duly arrived and I was thrilled to bits with it and spent a fun afternoon styling it up with items from my wardrobe. In the meantime the matching jacket was released and after much careful consideration I added this to my wardrobe. I am so glad I did as they brilliant together but also play so nicely with much of my other clothing and accessories, in this case the Jianhui London necklace and fingerless gloves.

Firstly please excuse this photo on our front somewhat scruffy front steps but it was the best one to show the shoes . I found these United Nude shoes locally last Winter in anticipation of the arrival of the skirt and they have been patiently waiting in their box ever since and yes they are made for one another.

Winter has well and truly arrived down here so some Winter styling was in order in the form of black knits topped with this possum knit cape that I have had for quite some time and is so warm . I also added the Bally boots that I found at Vintage Red Fox last year, a mix of bangles and my heart shaped sunnies . This is taken in St. Georges Square , a lovely open space with old oak trees and a small playground across the road from our house .

For the third outfit I paired the jacket with a plain black knit and my much loved and worn black Moyuru skirt , black and white spot gloves, spotted tights , white Prestonzly shoes , earrings that I bought in Cuba back in 2020, a little hat and Dior sunnies.

I hope (if the tech aligns) to join Gail from Is This Mutton for Tuesday Twirl .

All the best, Jill xxx
