Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.
Finally Spring seems to have arrived down here and it was time to revisit my Spring/ Summer wardrobe.
This was my choice for a walk into town to shop for a present for my little grandson , Hamish, who is turning three. As the morning was still a little cool I needed the neon green tights under my Rundholz pants which I paired with a black top and apple green jacket from Mos Mosh . Accessories were my much loved black Think shoes, black and white earrings , geometric black and white necklace and oversize sunglasses.
Behind me is a pale lemon banksia rose that I transplanted from my sisters garden many years ago.
My second outfit is one I rather liked and wore to an appointment with my doctor last week and again today . Once again it is a mix of old favourites , my Rundholz denim tailcoat and black and white gingham skirt from Moyuru. My doctors visit was a routine one but I also had my second shingles vaccination and an update of my care plan. As one who hardly ever visited a doctor before last year this takes a bit of getting used to and I was reminded of my age when the nurse asked me amongst other things if I had any falls lately. Fortunately the answer was no and I mentioned that I did special balance exercises , I think I got a big tick.
Raffy and I sitting on the deck outside the kitchen enjoying the sun on the warmest day so far this Spring.
Exactly the same outfit as last Friday including the mixed strands of beads , earrings and white sunnies. I am enjoying wearing fun socks at present , worn here with red Think shoes . ( yes, they are exactly the same as the black pair) . I loved my black ones so much that when the red ones popped up at local shoe store , The House of Shoes , they had to come home.
I know this one is not especially Spring like but never the less it is what I wore on a somewhat cooler day last week when John and I drove to Devonport to meet his sister for a belated birthday lunch for John. I chose a black base of my much loved and worn Moyuru skirt and a mesh top and topped it with this gold cropped faux fur jacket. The jacket from Husk has a bit of a story attached to it. I came across it in Queensland when we were there in April , tried it on and loved it but it was out of my price range so was not meant to be , that is until I saw it online in their clearance sale for 75% off . Well it would have been rude not to , wouldn’t it. A vintage black bag , fishnet tights and Hispanitas shoes finish the outfit.
I am standing in front of a small section of an art project titled “The Universe of Paper”. This white paper forest is the outcome of over 400 members of the community and dozens of workshops held in various parts of our state.
Hiding amongst the various paper flowers was a variety of different insects . I was rather taken with this bee . Aren’t people so clever.
I do enjoy the change of seasons and reconnecting with my old favourites and playing with new combinations . I know as the season progresses I will no doubt be tempted but at this stage I really need nothing in particular and hope to make new outfits from existing pieces and stretch my creativity.

Oh my word what lovely outfits.
It’s very good to hear that your doctor is on the ball with you but that terminology of: have you had ‘a fall’? We all fall, even when we are younger! Carry on with the balance exercises. More about my balance issues soon 🙂
I’m totally loving the gold cropped fur jacket btw and same with your skirts.

Thank you so very much Penny .
I do have faith in my doctor and yes I will continue with the balance exercises as I know how important they are.
The gold jacket was so me and at 75% off it was meant to be.
Inspired as always by your style, Jill. Yes, it WOULD have been rude not to buy that jacket!

Thank you so very much Mary Katherine , glad you enjoyed the outfits.
Your creativity in assembling different outfit combinations seems endless. I so enjoy seeing what you put together, hoping that it will encourage me to also work with what I already have, in a more interesting way. Love this set of outfits. Also, your hair cut and color are very becoming. The paper art exhibit is amazing!

Thank you so very much Elisa , I do enjoy putting my outfits together , it is my creative outlet. I am enjoying the short hair and colour.
I always love to see your outfits, Jill! The Rundholz pants are so unique, and I really like them styled with green. But, I bet you’ve styled them with many other jackets in various colors. Happy third birthday to Hamish! That museum exhibit looks so intriguing and beautiful. Isn’t it amazing what people can do with plain white (or is it cream) paper? Thanks for sharing the photo of the bee. I’d love you to link up with the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot on Friday if you think about it.

Thank you so very much Marsha. I do love the Rundholz pants and their botanical print and have worn them with a variety of colours.
John and I saw little Hamish yesterday and gave him his present.
I know some people are so clever and creative.
Happy Spring to you, Jill. You must be the coolest, unique, amazingly dressed at your doctor’s clinic. Great medicine all round and hope all is well (hope your shingles shot after effects weren’t as wretched as mine although one week of feeling awful certainly beats the horrible shingles).
I adore Banksia rose – I had a yellow one and a white at our old property and the perfume was so beautiful. You must have done all the right things with yours, being transplanted. Enjoy its beauty.
75% off!!! It was meant for you, as they say, when the planets align…
Love,
Elizabeth.

A happy Spring to you too Elizabeth, I see it has been a warm one in Brisbane. The Banksia rose is such a subtle and pretty little rose.
I was fortunate with my shingles vaccination and only had a mild reaction that only lasted a few days, well worth it as you say to avoid shingles.
I am so pleased with the jacket , I agree it was meant to be.
Oh, that first outfit with the apple and neon greens is absolutely delicious and the necklace is stunning too!
I’m having a hard time choosing between this outfit and the second one. The denim tailcoat and black and white gingham skirt are such a fab combo.
Well done on snaffling that Husk jacket at 75% off.
I’m totally bowled over by “The Universe of Paper”, how utterly beautiful! xxx
