Forever Favourites

Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.

Last week’s post with my much-loved leopard print coat got me thinking about what constitutes a forever favourite in my wardrobe . Many of those favourites are coats and jackets, most have been with me for many years. Others such as the Akira Isagowa coat that I am wearing here are pre-loved purchases that fit the bill perfectly.

The coat with its glorious back makes quite a statement and always draws comments whenever I wear it. Today it was worn over cream Moyuru pants and a cream knit with a red wool vintage hat , red leather gloves and Trippen boots.

I just had to include a close up of the back of my red Trippen boots with their hearts. I adore these boots and they are comfortable , are they forever – only time and my feet will answer that one – but for now I will wear them at every opportunity.

Possibly my favourite coat of all time would have to be this Lisa Ho black military style coat that travelled with me to Europe on our trip last year. In fact I wore it with a different skirt to brunch with my friend Didee yesterday .  To be honest I am not entirely sure how many Winters I’ve worn this coat but it would be at least twenty.

I might leave this post here and include my forever jackets in another post as we have just booked our flights to Japan and we have a trip to plan.

Have a lovely week everyone ,

My word Jill you’ve set my heart beating a bit faster with these glorious favourites. I LOVE the Akira Isagowa coat, and also the Lisa Ho black military style coat, so flattering a cut. Those red boots are something else too. You have a fantastic collection curated over the years. Very envious!!

Thank you so very much Ann , the coat and the boots were just made for each other. That’s that’s thing about coats they last forever and really never date.

You have definitely been into the wonderful world of beautifully quirky fashion for quite some time, Jill! I love those boots…are the heels just metal slats (or is it just the camera angle)? What a fun trip! Will you be there during the cherry blossom time?

Thank you Marsha , I have always loved fashion but am becoming quirky as time passes. The boots have rubber soles and heels. this is our secong trip to Japan last time was for the cherry blossoms this time for the Autumn colours.
