Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.
The centrepiece of today’s post is my newly acquired gold Rundholz skirt . I really hadn’t thought of a gold skirt until I participated in the 7 Day Skirt Challenge late last year. Gail of Is This Mutton blog wore an amazing gold skirt and that piqued my interest . I had spied the skirt I am wearing here online at idaretobe , which is based in the U.K., but it was way out of my budget. Fast forward a few months and they had an end of season sale and it was 50% off but I missed out , it was not to be, until a while later they announced they had acquired a few pieces from Rundholz in Germany and the skirt was amongst them and it was still 50% off. Well resistance was futile , it was meant to be mine.
Autumn really is my favourite time of year with its clear and sunny days and cooler nights and mornings. The trees in our neighborhood are displaying their glorious colours littering the footpaths with their fallen leaves a joy to scrunch through on our walks. I have no idea what it is about fallen leaves that brings the little girl to the fore to play in them but it surely does, never too old to play I say.
I have paired the Runholz skirt with the black Dogstar knit I bought in Brisbane , Trippen shoes (lost in the leaves), my Ted Baker studded gloves , Mikas rubber necklace and black sunnies.
On another note I have something to share , I was asked to participate in the shooting of a TV commercial for Yeltour, a local clothing boutique. Yeltour is quite an institution here having been in business for over 50 years.
After my initial hesitancy ( I have never done anything like this in my life) I made the decision to accept on the grounds that it is good to do things that scare you a little. Shooting was last Monday and I did enjoy the experience , whether I appear in the commercial time will tell.
Must close as I really need to do the seasonal wardrobe swap.
Joining Gail at Is This Mutton for Wow on Wednesday – albeit late as its now Thursday.

Oh wow, that skirt….! Just fabulous. I have just looked at the Idaretobe website and while there are some skirts available – there’s nothing in my size and not that amazing skirt either. But I think I’ll get back to being on their email list once more as there was a skirt I liked in the sale but not in my size unfortunately.
You are so stylish – a role model for us all.

Thank you so very much Penny , you can see why I couldn’t resist when it came up at sale price. Shame the skirt you fancied wasn’t in your size. We do enjoy our skirts don’t we.
That is one gorgeous skirt! I have a similar one in a swooshy silk…hmm, maybe I should wear that today!
The commercial sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you become a huge star!

Thank you so very much Sheila, I am rather pleased with the skirt . Filming the commercial was a fun challenge .
What a great skirt and the pictures really do it well. We here in the states are so casual but NY is still fashion aware.
Congrats on your modeling adventure. What fun. Hope it works out. I so enjoy your blog. Thanks. Claire from way, way across the pond.

Thank you so very much Claire , the Autumn colours did provide a perfect backdrop. I will admit that casual is more the way down here too for most people with only a few enjoying dressing up. I follow several New York ladies on Instagram , they are amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to comment Claire, it is most appreciated.
That skirt is truly spectacular and even better to have acquired it at half price!
I hadn’t heard of the Rundholz label before I started following your blog. So imagine my surprise when one lunch break I decided to take a different route and happened across their Antwerp shop. Naturally, I had to think of you!
How exciting to participate in a TV commercial shooting! xxx

Thank you so very much Ann . I am pleased with the skirt and feel lucky that is was finally reduced. How I would love a wander around the Rundholz shop in Antwerp. Being a part of the commercial was fun even if I don’t make the final cut.
Wow!!!! That skirt and your photos are stunning! I love your skirts so if you ever tire of them, just send them waaaaay up north! I am sure you’ll be in the commercial as you are so glamorous and stylish. If you are, maybe you can pop a video in your next post! I invite you to link up (if you do that) with our Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Thank you so very much Nancy , I am so very pleased with the gold skirt. Time will tell if my appearance ever makes it in the TV ad.
The gold skirt is beautiful and was clearly destined to be yours. It shines among the autumn leaves! Congrats on your modelling assignment. I have been offered an opportunity for cleaning products, which I will decline!!

Thank you so very much Elizabeth , time will tell on the advert. The Autumn did prove to be a good backdrop.xx
Wow, that gold skirt is fabulous, Jill, and works wonderfully with your accessories and your Autumn
playfulness. I couldn’t get enough autumn leaf crunch and colour on our recent road trip, the colours are beautiful.
Congratulations on selection for the commercial and for your bold attitude. You will be brilliant!
I have yet to purchase anything from Dogstar although I’ve been in and not seen anything that is “me” but it’s
often on my radar as I walk or bus past. Very interesting creations.
Hoping you’re continuing to be well,
Love,
Elizabeth.
