What I Have Been Wearing Lately

Hello everyone hope all is well in your part of the world.

I have been making the most of our beautiful Autumn days , getting out and about with John , meeting up with friends and spending time in the garden.

Last week John and I visited Holm Oak Winery to learn about the wine making process, which was extremely interesting even to me as I am certainly no wine buff. Holm Oak is one of our small boutique wineries situated at Rowella on the Tamar River. We were able to taste the wine in different stages of fermentation. After the tour we enjoyed a platter lunch of different Tasmanian charcuterie accompanied by a wine tasting of several varieties.

My outfit for the day was a Moyuru silver and black skirt worn with a Maude Dainty poets blouse and wide fabric belt. It didn’t cross my mind that white shirts and red wine don’t mix until I posted this on Instagram and received a message from the owner that she loved my outfit but was thankful that she didn’t splash red wine on my white shirt.

My accessories for the day were a Jianhui necklace , earrings, Dior sunnies , fingerless gloves and a velvet turban from Edgley in Melbourne. Since changing my hair I really haven’t been wearing any of my hats and headwear but am changing that come Winter even if some styles may no longer work there are many that will.

This was my outfit on Easter Monday , the black floral satin pants have appeared on the blog many times usually paired with black but I decided to play with colour with this Lisa Ho cardigan and cami that I have had for many years.

The cardigan is trimmed with leopard print and pink trim and had been lurking in the wardrobe for many years , don’t ask me why as I do rather like it. I finished the outfit with the floral rubber necklace made by Mika in Brisbane and was a gift from a friend, black earrings and Preen sunnies .

We had a lovely visit from our son Zac, his wife Sarah and the boys , Harry and Hamish for lunch on Saturday and again on the Sunday . The boys are growing up so fast , Harry is now five and enjoying his prep year at school and little Hamish is now two and quite a character .

Another day, another outfit this is what I wore to meet up with my friend Janet for tea , talk and a walk into town to browse the shops . We may not have bought anything but we did put lots of things to right .

It was a green day with my much loved Apunto B chartreuse duster, Rundholz pants , Ted Baker blouse and lime green tights bought in Spain last year. I also added cream and black brogues from Hispanitas , cream vintage earrings , colourful Jackie Brazil bangles and the Salvatore Ferragamo bag .

John and I head off on Monday for our interstate trip so I am not if blogging will happen . I know from past experience that I have good intentions but they don’t always pan out.
