Hello again , apologies it has been way too long since my last post.
I completed my last round of chemotherapy in mid June and was ready to join the world again. Unfortunately my body had other ideas and forced me to slow down and let the healing process begin after all the chemo drugs had left my system .That is still a work in progress but I feel I have turned the corner and my energy is slowly returning .
This shot was taken by the river at Woolmers , near the town of Longford, after a grocery shopping trip.
I am wearing my much loved Winter Moyuru skirt , Lisa Ho coat that I must have worn for at least 15 Winters, Fly London boots , vintage hat, gloves bought in Lisbon and old sunnies.
Looking ahead to the future , which involves catching up with friends in person , going down to Hobart to see the family and our overseas trip in mid September .
My plans also include getting back to a regular blogging schedule and finally catching up with everyone’s posts , I really have missed my blogging friends.
After months of wearing what feels most comfortable on a daily basis it is so good to revisit my Winter wardrobe and connect with my favourite things again . The joy of buying pieces that make your heart sing , is that you end up with a closet bursting with greatly loved forever pieces that keep on giving year after year. This little hiatus has made me appreciate so many things in my life that I may have taken for granted. Make each day count and wear what you brings you joy.
Lovely post, Jill. As I’ve said before, I love that you love your clothes, that they make your heart sing. Take your time healing, nurture yourself. Love, Elizabeth.

Oh my! I am dreadfully behind in my blog reading, so I had no idea what you are experiencing. So happy that the chemotherapy is over for you, and so grateful you are still here to tell the tale. Yes, a life-threatening illness changes our perspective. I know that firsthand. You look absolutely smashing in the photos. Don’t push yourself to get back to it all too soon. Rest is so healing, and we will wait for you. Sending up prayers for your recovery as well as thanks. Take good care and God bless.
