Hello everyone , hope all is well in your part of the world.
A quiet week for me as I managed to come down with a mild dose of the flu. For once in my life I listened to my body and rested only doing what I really needed to do. After a few days I now feel pretty much recovered but have kindly passed it on to John.
Anyhow enough of that , for my first time out of the house I donned my Winter whites . I always enjoy wearing Winter white , it brightens up the greyest of Winter days.
Today’s Winter white outfit is a combination of pieces from different season. The Moyuru wool jacket has seen many Winters and always draws compliments . It was teamed with a pair of Moyuru baggy wool pants , a lucky find last year and a black Paula Ryan knit. I added Preston Zly shoes , handmade in Melbourne , a naughty purchase last year.
Accessories consisted of recycled cream bangles , cream and black earrings , black Fendi sunnies and a black and cream beret from Paula Ryan .
I find I get as much pleasure from combining old favourites and creating new outfits as from buying new these days. A good thing as I have reduced my limited working hours even further and retirement is on the horizon .
Hopefully an overseas trip will also happen either late this year or early next year, maybe Japan in Autumn for the colours or a return to Europe. No concrete plans at present but many ideas fuelled by much reading of my various travel books. I will keep you posted .
Take care my friends. xx

Your Winter Whites outfit is fabulous, Jill. All the pieces look very edgy, the shoes are divine. Funny enough, I also posted Winter Whites outfit a few weeks ago. Please check it out https://lookingfabulousat50.blogspot.com/2022/06/winter-whites-or-how-to-look-stylish-in.html
Thank you so much Anna . Winter white always a good idea to brighten those dull days.
Making plans for traveling is already so much fun to do. I hope it wasn’t corona and that John and you are feeling better. Lovely winter whites!!
Thank you Nancy, not corona just the normal Winter colds and flu. We are both recovering well. Making travel plans is always so much fun. xx
I LOVE YOUR LOOK TODAY ESPECIALLY THOSE PANTS!
TRAVEL SEEMS LIKE A GOOD THING TO DO………….
I FEEL I NEED A CAHNGE OF SCENERY too!
Thank you so much Elizabeth . I think many of us are in need of a change of scenery . I will be interested to see where you travel to.xx
I’m sorry that you came down with the flu but I’m glad to hear you listened to your body and rested.
You’re looking both cozy and stylish in your Winter whites. Those Preston Zly shoes are to-die-for but wouldn’t stay white for long on my feet 🙂
One of the joys of travelling is making plans and nothing better to whet your appetite than by reading travel books! Can’t wait to hear where you’re off to! xxx
Thank you so much Ann , pretty much back to normal now.
I do enjoy wearing Winter white and the shoes worked well and surprisingly they do stay fairly clean.
I agree that the planning for travel is one of the joys. Look forward to reading about your UK trip. xx
That’s a stunning combination of all white items – so stylish. Sorry you got the ‘flu – we’ve just finished a long drawn-out summer cold caught from our grandson! So annoying! Glad to hear you’re better. All the best Penny
Thank you so much Penny for your lovely comment. I do hope your Summer colds are coming to an end, they do seem to hang around don,t they. xx
I am hoping for a trip to Europe this winter or next year and need to start looking again! I love winter whites, they do brighten cloudy and cold days.
I hope you and your family are able to travel to Europe whenever the time is right. Oh yes to Winter white brightening those dull days. Many thanks for commenting Mirielle.
Hi Jill, I love your winter white and as always your style and panache. I do hope both you and John
are back to full health again. It seems we’re all reading travel articles and books now that there it’s all
looking good again. And making plans…
Thank you so very much Elizabeth . We are pretty well back to good health again and doing our best to avoid Covid that is rampant in the community again.
Glad to hear we are not the only ones reading travel books and beginning to make plans for travel again. I find travel always feeds my soul don’t you?.
