Winter Outfits- So Far

Hello everyone , hope you are well .

A somewhat quiet week for me with the usual household chores , neighbour hood walks with John and Raffy , my work day and several productive hours spent in the garden. The last few days have been almost Spring like with mild, sunny days but that is forecast to end tomorrow with a return to our normal Winter weather.

Having a peek at my recent photos I realised there were several outfits that I hadn’t included on the blog so here are a few taken over the last few weeks.

I found this pink and green faux fur jacket from Trelise Cooper early in the Winter at Yeltour, a local boutique. It is so warm and snuggly to wear and I always get compliments when I wear it but is it me I am still not really sure on that score. I teamed it with an olive green Sarah Paccinni that I wore to my sons wedding a few years ago , silver ankle boots from Neo, vintage green gloves and cream sunnies.

A combination of black and orange for a walk in the Gorge on a cold morning . To be honest I started with my new black and orange Arche boots and went from there. A mix of old favourites pair with the boots my black leather skirt ,( one of my all time favourite recycle finds) paired with a fluffy orange jumper topped with a Moyuru jacket, Ted Baker studded leather gloves, black sunnies and a black hat .

Wearing one of my favourite colours , mustard for lunch with a friend. I found this recycled Dominex jacket a couple of years ago at Red Fox Vintage and knew it had been altered somehow. I wore it on an Instagram post and was contacted by its original owner who told me it had been a long coat but she had altered it to make it more wearable for her at the time. I do love to find a garments back story. I paired the jacket with my  much loved black Moyuru skirt, a black knit, leopard tights , Neo shoes , leopard gloves and turban.

I’ll finish off with this casual outfit taken at Port Sorrell several weeks ago. In fact this is one of the last shots taken before my camera shutter jammed never to release again. I remember the day well it was a sunny Winter day when John and I drove to buy pumpkins from a farm gate , an annual event for us.

Now back to the outfit M.Dainty bronze pants , cream jumper, red leather gloves purchased in Bilboa, Spain in 2018, vintage red velvet cap, white sunnies , silk scarf and red Trippen shoes.

I hope you have enjoyed my lookback at a few Winter outfits.

Joining Gail at Is This Mutton for Wow on Wednesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday .

Thank you Susan , I was thrilled when I came across this leather skirt as I had a similar one years that I stupidly gave away and instantly regretted.

I definitely enjoyed seeing your Winter outfits, Jill!
Even if you’re not sure it’s you yet, I’m swooning over your pink and green faux fur jacket, and in fact the whole outfit is one of my favourites here. There’s something about green and pink together that appeals to me.
The orange and black outfit is another favourite, and I can’t get over the fact that the amazing leather skirt was a recycle find! xxx

Thank you so much Ann, glad you enjoyed seeing a few of my Winter outfits. I guess the pink and green is such a different colour combination for me as a wearer of darker tones that it has taken a while to feel its me but I will certainly continue to play and enjoy the jacket. The leather skirt was a very lucky find indeed . xx

Jill, I love clothes with stories and your story about that beautiful Dominex jacket is wonderful. How lovely of the previous owner to contact you (the very positive things about social media). Your whole outfit is fabulous. Re your query on the green and pink check jacket, I love the jacket, it looks great on you but I suppose the bottom line is, do you feel great wearing it? Thank you for sharing these lovely photos and your always unique creative style. Happy Weekend, Elizabeth. xx

I am the same Elizabeth , to me that is the attraction of pre-loved wondering about their previous owners . I was thrilled when the previous owner contacted me . Starting to warm to the check jacket , the colours are so different to what I usually choose .
Thank you so much Elizabeth, enjoy your weekend too. xx

Thank you so much Gail. The pink and green jacket is so warm and I am adjusting to seeing myself in those colours. Sometimes my walking outfits are not this put together especially early in the morning. I do think we find our own style over time.
