Winter Has Arrived

Hello everyone , hope all is well .

Winter seems to have arrived down here in Tasmania but that doesn’t bother me one bit . I rather enjoy our crisp sunny Winter days , to say nothing of rediscovering my collection of Winter warmers.

This was my outfit for a morning meet up with my friend , Janet , as well as a MG car club dinner .

The bronze pants by M. Dainty are a new Winter purchase and were paired with an oversized Moyuru shirt and an old favourite cropped black leather jacket.

As usual having fun with accessories , fingerless leather gloves found in Melbourne last year, a Neo black and white neckace, black and white earrings, Gucci sunnies and a black wool beret , a recycle find.

I do love a Winter coat and will admit to having quite a collection amassed over many years. I always feel coats are a good investment as they do last for many years and styles really are pretty timeless.

This Lisa Ho military style coat has kept me warm for at least ten Winters.

I have paired my coat with a rather naughty online purchase , a pink , red , green and black check Rundholz skirt that I spied on UK site Idaretobe . The skirt arrived several months ago but as it has two layers was way too hot to wear over Summer. I am not too sure of the fabric but it seems to have a stiffener so can be shaped to be rather puffy or eased back to sleek , there is also red embroidery on the waist band . I am thrilled to bits with the skirt and have had fun playing with styling options. I can promise it will no doubt reappear on the blog throughout Winter and into Spring.

I paired the outfit with black lace tights and red Trippen lace ups , black studded leather gloves and a Helen Kaminsky hat .

That’s all for now folks – hope you find something magical every day.

Joining Gail at Is This Mutton for Wow on Wednesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday.

Thank you Mirielle I am pleased with my new skirt . I imagine Summer is rather hot and humid in your area so fully understand why you dream of Fall.

Your military style coat and that gorgeous Rundholz skirt make a stunning, edgy outfit! I’m partly jealous of you going into winter because the clothes are so much more interesting. But summer is obviously great for the weather, garden and opportunities to do fun things outside. Thanks for linking Jill.

I think that skirt is amazing! What a beauty. I always love checked skirts anyway, but this is something different. Also love the jacket, its a perfect coat for the skirt.

Oh gosh I do love that skirt and I occasional follow that brand and platform but have never bought there. But yes, my kind of skirt. And it’s nearly winter for you? It’s naturally the opposite for us as yesterday was beautifully warm and pleasant which was such bonus for a trip up to London, but it’s all over now as there was a big overhead thunderstorm and today it’s grey and raining! Mind you the garden needed the rain so not complaining.

I love having proper seasons, and rediscovering my Summer and Winter wardrobes again after I’ve been doing my changeover.
Two fabulous outfits here, Jill. I can’t get over the size of that pendant in your first one, and the green and black check Rundholz skirt in the second one is a real stunner. Worn with that military style coat, lace tight and lace ups, it is one spectacular outfit! xxx

A gorgeous post, Jill. That “naughty online” purchase looks fabulous, sounds fabulous, with so much potential “restyling”, I look forward to seeing more of it in future.
It’s gradually cooling down up here and still soggy damp, misty, rainy and grey, so unQueensland…but there is beauty in the clouds settling over the hills and water rushing along normally dry gullies in the bush. Happy Weekend.

Thank you so much Elizabeth . Yes it was a rather naughty purchase that I will have so many styling options and I will wear it for many years to come.
There certainly has been very un Queensland like weather this year . Enjoy your weekend Elizabeth.
