Hello , I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter break .
Just before Easter John and I took a drive out to the town of Deloraine to view the Autumn colours and enjoy lunch at a local hotel restaurant. Things didn’t go quite as planned , the restaurant was closed and the colours well not as colourful as usual. The shot above was cheekily snapped on our way home in the drive of a farming property. We did end up having lunch at a local cafe , which was OK . Lesson learnt always check opening hours.
The day was fine with an Autumn chill in the air so playing with trans-seasonal layers was in order.
I started with the coral linen mix coat from Sinequanone that I wore to my nephews wedding about ten years ago. I styled the coat over a white shirt , vest and old favourite Moyuru pants.
I accessorised with a Crochetta trilby , a resin cream and black necklace , vintage clip on earrings, Preen sunnies and white Preston Zly shoes.
I stumbled across the vest at a pop up recycle shop here last year and even though it was a little snug at the time I loved its tailoring and rather unique bird print. The label is Giuseppe Collection and is made in the U.S.A. . I can only imagine it was purchased by someone in the US but never really worn as it was as new with labels.
Over the Easter break John and I had a day trip down to Hobart to visit family . We may have had a quick into the city where I did a spot of shopping. I found a couple of treasures at Bruce, a recycle clothing store and the orange and black tights I am wearing here .
The tights were the starting point for my Easter Monday outfit . Wearing my much loved Moyuru skirt, mesh top worn under Sarah Paccinni knit , black and orange bangles, orange leather gloves , burnt orange beads paired with an orange and silver necklace , Fendi sunnies and Trippen shoes.
This was the first outing for the season of my Felt Happiness orange beret. I just love this clever and quirky handmade hat and know that I will wear it often over Winter.
Joining Gail at Is This Mutton for Wow on Wednesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday.
I’m glad to see you have still got your hair colour!! Doesn’t it look fabulous with this outfit!

Thanks so much Nancy , I have taken every ones advice and keep my red hair colour for a while longer as I really like how it plays with many of the colours I wear. xx
Oh, that bird print is so whimsical! I love where you snapped your pictures. Sometimes I wish I would stop in some of the pretty spots I go by.

Thank you so much Mirielle , the vest certainly does have a touch of the whimsical. I quite enjoy finding local spots to take the photos and share a little of my island state.
What fun outfits. I love orange and your tights and beret really are the business. Loving the bird vest too, and would have bought it in a flash 🙂

Thank you so much Patricia . Orange is a favourite of mine , I was thrilled to find the striped tights and the beret came by way of a friend. The bird vest is a special piece indeed. xx
Stunning outfits as always, Jill. That bird print vest was a fantastic find, and I’m loving the cream and black resin necklace. Your black and orange outfit is fantastic too! Love the striped tights – another great find – and the felt beret is well worth having colder weather for. And oh, those Trippen shoes!
I’m hearing you on the lack of Autumn colour, it seems to arrive later and later each year. xxx

Autumn colours seem to be late here too . I was so pleased to finally wear the bird vest as I rather love it. The cream and resin necklace was a find in a little shop in Paris back in 2016. Orange is a favourite colour of mine so I am so pleased with the tights. The beret will certainly come in handy as Winters sets in. xx
That waistcoat is fabulous, the print has a touch of William Morris about it.
A fabulous outfit, such a shame the restaurant was closed but you made the most of it with a magnificent place to pose! xxx

Thank you so much Vix , now you mention it the vest does have a touch of William Morris, maybe thats what attracted me. Yes it was a shame about the restaurant but we do have an excuse to return another day.
LOVE ORANGE ON YOU!

Many thanks Elizabeth , it is one of my favourite colours.
Love the outfits but especially the one with orange accessories. I adore the orange hat. It’s wonderful and actually I have one quite similar – must wear it more often! And of course as ever your skirt is divine.
