Hello friends , hope this find all well in your corner of the world. Summer days are certainly slipping by , its hard to believe it is nearly the end of January. I thought I should show some of my favourite outfits from the last few weeks.
This was my outfit for running a few errands last week. The morning was still a little cool when we ventured out so my long sleeve Sarah Paccinni black and white knit worked perfectly paired with wide leg Moyuru pants. Silver Fly London sandals , black and white Preen sunnies , black and white bangles and my Covid indulgence a black and white necklace by Jianhui London finished the look.
After a morning of the usual home chores John and I decided to take advantage of the sunny day and take the Mazda MX5 for a drive along the river .
We stopped at a picnic spot at Clarence Point to eat our lunch and enjoy the view.
The day was warm but experience and a few nasty sunburns have taught me to cover up in an open top sports car on a hot day. My cotton Ted Baker shirt fitted the bill perfectly as it is a fine cotton and not too hot to wear. I paired it with striped Moyuru pants and an old black lace vest, multi-strand beads , bangles , sunnies , daisy earrings and a grey hat that I found at a makers market in Paris back in 2016.
Our last few days have been rather hot so loose and comfortable was in order. I have worn this black Rundholz cotton dress for several Summers . I have been playing with different combinations and rather like it with the ruffled white Moyuru blouse on top.
I had to include a close up of my shoes . I purchased them at the Fly London store in Lisbon in 2016 . This was my first trip to Lisbon and I really fell for its charm and in fact returned in 2018 to explore further. I hope to return one day , in the interim I will relive my memories every time I wear these shoes.
A hat was in order for sun protection , this time a black boater , a Summer favourite. White bangles bought at a thrift shop and the daisy earrings (Marc Jacobs , a recycle find) and sunnies complete the outfit.
On another note I have been busy in the kitchen making the most of Summer produce. Our lemon tree had an excellent crop this year so I have been preserving lemons as well as making limoncello .
Last weekend we travelled to Hobart to stay with the family and babysit our two little grandsons. On the way down we stopped at Lowdinia orchards to purchase their wonderful apricots that I stew and freeze to add a taste of Summer in Winter .

Outfits to my heart! Love that white necklace and the sandals. Spanish designed shoes are the best!

Thank you so much Nancy , we do both love our black touches. Agree on the Spanish shoes.
I love your outfit with the Moyuru pants! Fun stripes. I love apricot but don’t buy them much in the states: I feel like it is difficult to find good ones here. I should find a farm that grows them!

Thank you so much Mirielle , stripes are always fun to wear. Shame you can’t buy good apricots , the ones in our supermarkets are also pretty tasteless .
I love all your outfits but my favourite is the last one – the blouse over the dress is such a good look – do like the boater as well. How lovely to visit your two grandsons – we have a grandson aged nearly 14 months. He’s a delight.
It’s great to see your blue skies – enjoy them while you can – it’s very grey here at the moment.

Thank you Penny , I was pleased that the blouse worked well over the dress as it gives me more options.Little boys are a treat and we are lucky to have them in our lives.
We are enjoying a good Summer this year , hope yours follows suit.
Some wonderful outfits here, Jill. My favourites are the two first ones. The Sarah Paccinni knit and that stunning necklace are a match made in heaven, but I’m loving the edgy playfulness of the second outfit the most. Oh, and those Fly London sandals. I am swooning! And aren’t your little grandsons the cutest! xxx

Thank you so much Ann . I am very fond of the Sarah Paccinni knit as it works with so many things , including the necklace. It was fun putting the picnic outfit together and I will admit it started with the beret. The little boys are little cuties but I am a tad biased.
Looks like you were gifted with some little sweetie grandkids just about the time I did. So much fun! But I have to pace myself or I will collapse by the end of the day. Ha! Really love the outfit with the beret hat and that crochet vest!
