Hello everyone , welcome to my late Spring garden. The roses and lupins are in their full flowering glory despite a cool and wet start to our Spring/Summer.
My roses are a mixture of old roses , such as this pale pink Fatin Latour and David Austin varieties that I have planted over many years. The lupins on the other hand are an army of volunteers (as my mother called any self sown plants) that seem to be taking over the garden.
I wish I could remember the origin of the first lupin plants but I have no idea and now they return each year in the most wonderful mix of colours , cross pollinated by the many bees they attract. They also have a rather subtle but lovely smell that permeates the air along with the sweet scent of the many roses.
My love of wearing black and white is well known so when I found this really interesting white Moyuru shirt at Allstyle in Hobart it had to come home . I paired it with extra wide leg pants , also by Moyuru.
The back of the shirt is really interesting with its many folds , reminding me of origami.
I added two handmade necklaces , the black flower one is made from rubber and handcrafted in Brisbane by Mika ( this was a gift from my friend Elizabeth) , the other in black and white was made in Hobart and I found it at Salamanca Market, earrings from Jianhui London and sunnies from Fendi.
Joining Gail at Is this Mutton for Wow on Wednesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday.
Gosh gosh gosh!! How gorgeous is your garden! I absolutely love lupins as they remind me of the UK. What a color explosion, what a joy to look at!

The Lupins have been quite magnificent this year but they are taking over a bit.
It was the back details that spoke to me when I saw this white shirt. Many thanks Ann.xx
Wow! Those lupins are gorgeous! They’re my second favourite flower after the foxglove which also self seeds. Looking fab as ever – black and white really suits you. It’s a great look 🙂

Thank you Penny , black and white has always been a favourite of mine .Lupins and foxgloves are both welcome in my garden . xx
I love lupin envy – they are spectacular! I’m ashamed to say that I live less than 20 minutes away from the David Austin nurseries, one day I shall visit and share photos!
Splendid outfit, I adore the necklace, it’s got a look of Victorian mourning jewellery, something I’m mad about! xxx
