Hello , hope this finds everyone well and enjoying all that the season holds in your part of the world. It is mid Winter here and last weeks weather was magical with cold, frosty nights and mornings followed by crisp sunny days. It was on one of those days that John suggested a drive to Moores Hill Vineyard for a spot of wine tasting and lunch.
The vineyard offers Wine Flights (a new one for us) where you taste four different wines . We shared and tasted two sparkling and two whites , interestingly we both preferred the sparkling. We also shared a tasting board of local cheeses , meats and pickles with a small vegie board for me on the side.
John deciding where to start and yes they were as good as they looked.
As it was a little chilly I donned my floral sprigged Elliott wool cape and black wool Jude pants , a cream wool hat, cream Hispanitas boots, black gloves and sunnies.
Last Sunday we joined other MG T series owners for a drive in the countryside , a coffee stop at Deloraine along the way and lunch at the Mole Creek Hotel. Our car is the dark green one , a 1953 MGTD, now classed as vintage ( I also was born in 1953 that makes me vintage too I guess).
This was my outfit for Sunday , topped with my teddy bear coat for extra warmth. I actually wore this yesterday when these were taken in the bare Winter garden.I had been on the look out for cream wool pants for ages and came across this Moyuru pair at Allstyle recently and knew they had to be mine . They pair perfectly with the cream Moyuru jacket from a few Winters ago , a black knit , cream Hispanitas boots (last year) and a black and cream beret, black gloves and Anne et Valentine sunnies.
A quiet time in my garden on the flowering front but the hellebores are just starting to come into bloom and will be followed by the camellias and early bulbs. I started pruning my many roses last Saturday and had planned to continue this week but rain has thwarted my plans for the time being.
Joining Gail at This is Mutton for Wow on Wednesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday.
Don’t you just love a lunch like that. We had, last when’s, our first wine pairing with a5 course tasting. What a amazing wines we had. Fabulous how they perfectly paired with the food. The all winter white outfit is very beautiful!!

We did enjoy our lunch even though some of the wines were a little disappointing. Your wine and food pairing sounds wonderful. Many thanks Nancy , enjoy your week.
Last week’s weather sounds like my favourite Winter weather, all crisp and sunny.
I’m loving the outfit you wore for your spot of wine tasting, that floral sprig cape is especially delightful.
Your new cream wool pants are indeed a perfect match for that jacket and it tickles me you are wearing a pair of Anne et Valentine sunnies, as I’m actually wearing specs from the same brand as I type!
Swooning over your car as well as the double Hellebores, which I must certainly seek out for next Winter! xxx

Thank you so much Ann , I do love the floral sprigged cape I really must wear it more often. What a co-incidence that you too are wearing specs from Anne et Valentine , I now have two pairs of their sunnies , they are so light to wear and have such interesting styles. I am enjoying your Summer garden in all its glory.
Both outfits are wonderful – you have such style Jill. Especially love the white outfit – very nice! And crisp sunny days are my favourite – that’s the best kind of weather. We’re due some warmer weather over the next few days – huzzah!

Many thanks Elizabeth, I was please with how the creams pieces worked together. Hopefully one day we will share a sparkling wine together.
The roses behind me had not been pruned when the photo was taken but they have now and are much shorter. Enjoyed your Ageless Style post today.
