Last weekend was a rather social one with the MG Car Club State Concourse and Dinner on Saturday and a trip to Hobart for little Harry’s second birthday.
Saturday started with a trip to our Farmers Market for me , a must this time of year for all the Spring vegetables especially asparagus . John was busy judging cars for the Concourse ( which I always think of as a beauty pageant for cars) . I joined him later in the morning , no car photos this time I way too busy socialising for that.
My outfit for the dinner was the Rundholz dark blue skirt that I purchased earlier this season paired with a George Gross mesh top , black leather Obi belt and Sonia Rykiel patent leather sandals.
It was the first time I had worn this vintage necklace that I found recently at Red Fox Antiques.
On Sunday after joining our car club friends for breakfast we headed south to Hobart. My outfit for the day was my Rundholz denim jacket and Maude Dainty frilled pants, a straw boater and a necklace that reminds me of licorice allsorts ( made by Jacqie Brasil ). We packed a picnic lunch , a salad for me and sandwiches for John , and stopped by the river at the historical town of Richmond. It was a beautiful sunny day so after lunch we had a little stroll around.
Richmond is a pretty little town with many beautifully restored buildings. The one above is a private residence with a cottage that you can rent, maybe we will some day.
Little Harry turned two last Thursday , my the time has flown but on the other hand it really seems no time at all since his Dad (my son Zac) was that age . We enjoyed a lovely afternoon with Zac, Sarah and little Harry and Sarah’s parents.
Joining Mica for Weekday Wear, Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday, Gail at This is Mutton for Wow on Wednesday, Jacqui for Chic and Stylish and Nancy for Fancy Friday.
Congratulations on little Harry! What a wonderful weekend you had! And such fabulous weather! I’ll bet you are the best dressed woman of the car club!!

Thank you so much Nancy , it was a wonderful weekend and the weather was warm and sunny. I will admit to being more dressed up than most of my car club friends.

Thank you so much Elizabeth. Yes, Harry is a big boy for two. I agree it is such a thrill finding special goodies in antique or thrift shops. It was a perfect weekend.
That looks like a very social weekend indeed, and one we can only dream about here at the moment.
Saturday’s outfit for dinner is absolutely stunning, I particularly love the Rundholz dark blue skirt and the vintage necklace is divine.
Sunday’s outfit is delightfully quirky, with that amazing jacket and the licorice allsorts necklace: a very apt description.
What a lovely afternoon, and happy birthday to little Harry! xxx

Thank you Ann , it was the most social weekend we have had for sometime. I know this isn’t possible for my friends in Europe at present but I do hope it will be soon. At first I wasn,t sure about the dark blue but I am finding it works well with so many things. i am thrilled to bits with the vintage necklace. The Sunday outfit worked well for the day and comfy to play with Harry.
It sounds like a lovely weekend! Happy birthday to your grandson! I still think that denim jacket is striking and it looks lovely with the statement necklace over it.

Many thanks Mirielle , we did enjoy our weekend. I am so pleased with the denim jacket and have had so much wear from it already as it is so versatile. The necklace was one of those lucky finds.
It’s great to see these slices of life in Tasmania – it looks so pretty. You have some amazing clothes! I love that navy skirt and the necklace is so dramatic with it. The denim jacket has the sort of shaping I am always looking for. Thanks for linking up at #WowOnWednesday.

Thank you Gail , glad you enjoyed a peek at Tasmania . I do love clothes and have been collecting for many years. I was pleased with how the necklace worked for a more dressy occasion. I am not usually a denim girl but I fell for the shape. My pleasure to join your link up.
Happy birthday to your grandson! It’s nice you have been able to spend time with family – I think the restrictions let us see how precious that time is, if we didn’t know it before! I like both outfits, but the second one is my favourite with that great denim jacket 🙂
Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! 🙂

Many thanks Mica , I agree this year certainly has reminded us of what really matters. The second outfit was quite a contrast to the first one , my version of easy casual. Always my pleasure to join your link up.
Socialising! Those were the days!
Loving the all-black number with that luxe belt and the denim frock coat with the liquorice allsort beads is wonderful, too. Your hair is looking fabulous.
Richmond looks so pretty, the perfect place for a drive out.
Harry is two already! That has flown by. He’s a gorgeous little man and Zac looks so like you. xxx

Hopefully socialising can happen again in the UK soon , hopefully this time people are playing by the rules.
I was pleased with the how the dressy outfit worked with the necklace. The denim frock coat is becoming a firm favourite.
I know where have those two years gone. All the best Vix. xxx
