Hello lovelies , hope this finds everyone safe and well. I really don’t know where the last week has gone, time has just flown. The snow from last Wednesday disappeared as quickly as it arrived and the weather was warm enough on Thursday to spend time in the garden weeding and pruning more of my roses. Friday was a busy work day and on Saturday we had an early start as we headed south to Hobart to meet our son Zac , his lovely wife Sarah and our little grandson Harry for lunch to celebrate Zac’s birthday.
As we had made an early start there was time for a quick trip into the city for a couple of things we had been searching for. John headed to a shop specialising in maps for a world map as we had promised our guide in Cuba , Milena, a map for her little boy. Not that we are able to send it yet due to closed borders.
I may have wandered into a couple of my favourite clothing and accessories shops for a quick browse.
We met for lunch at Riversdale Estate , a vineyard and working farm on the Derwent River. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in their French Bistro. I had to take a photo of the three generations to celebrate the day.
The day was mild and clear , this was the view over the river from the restaurant.
The promise of Spring at the entrance with this impressive display of daffodils.
Little Harry is now 19 months old and quite a little character.
Sunday was a quiet day at home catching up on chores and a bit of gardening . I also had a long phone conversation with my other son Callum who lives in Melbourne . Melbourne is currently in lockdown after a second outbreak of Covid 19 . Callum is an engineer with Ford and working from home at present.Luckily he can leave the house for one hour of exercise a day . I also have a nephew who is a nurse in one of Melbourne’s inner city hospitals . I hope the lockdown will have the desired effect and keep everyone safe and well.
Today’s outfit is a collection of a few of my favourite things – animal print , leather , silver and pearls.
I started with my old faithful Moyuru skirt , added a Ted Baker pearl trim top , a glittery belt and a Caroline Moore black leather jacket then topped with my very old plush leopard print coat. A pearl studded beret , silver boots , long black leather gloves , heart YSL sunnies and silver boots completed the outfit.

Lovely outfit, so chic. It takes me back to my days in Chicago, when layers were needed. Live in Florida now, so I have had to adjust. I am enjoying vicariously.

Thank you so much Jean . I can only imagine how many layers you needed for the chill of a Chicago Winter.
How lovely to be able to meet up with your son and his family. Little Harry does indeed look like quite a little character. And so it should be! The view from the restaurant is delightful. I’ve heard about the second outbreak and lockdown in Melbourne. So sorry to hear your son is in the thick of out. Fingers crossed that lockdown does have its effects indeed. It’s all so disheartening isn’t it? Yay for gorgeous clothes to wear, though. Love the pearl trimmed top and beret and your plush leopard print coat makes my heart beat faster! xxx

Thank you so much Ann , it was a lovely day and we do feel lucky to still be able to meet. It was our first time in the restaurant but we do hope to return in the Spring. I agree it must be so disheartening to undertake a second lockdown but the early signs seem to be promising.
Having the chance to don our gorgeous clothes and dress up is good for the spirits . Take care and have a good week. xx
What lovely family photos, Harry has such a lovely smile and looks really tall in that photo of him & John. Riversdale Estate looks spectacular and those daffodils are gorgeous.
I love your leopard print coat and those metallic boots.
Hoping both Callum & your nephew stay safe and that the lockdown has the desired effect. xxx

Thanks so much Vix , it was good to take some family photos . Harry is quite tall for his age , unlike his grandfather. Riversdale was rather lovely and hope to return when the weather warms up . The leoprd print coat must now be nearly 20 years old but is always a favourite.
Thankyou for the kind wishes re Callum and my nephew , the daily numbers are declining , hoping it continues. xx
You look so glam, I love it! And those photos are beautiful! Looked like such a lovely day

Many thanks Elizabeth , he is a dear little boy but then I may be a little biased. The light was very kind on this day. Over to read your blog.
You look fit for a very special outing – love the layers and they must work well in cooler weather – thanks for sharing today on the #linkup Jacqui x

Many thanks Mica , it was so good to get together to celebrate Zac’s birthday. The Melbourne family are all safe and well and the Victorian situation is showing good signs. Always my pleasure to join your link up.
Love the leopard print coat and how nice you could get together for your son’s birthday! i hope your family in Victoria stay safe – it’s a bit scary seeing how quickly it spread there but it seems to be getting lower numbers which is a good sign!
Thank you for joining the #weekdaywearlinkup!
Hope that your week is off to a good start 🙂
