After much planning the day has finally arrived when we leave home for our trip to Cuba. From our home in Tasmania we fly to Melbourne for one night and catch up with our son , Callum. We are going out to dinner for a belated 30th. birthday , Callum not only lives in another state but happened to be in Thailand working on his birthday.
From Melbourne we fly to Los Angeles , a 14 hour flight, where we spend another night. No concrete plans for LA , it will depend on time available after clearing customs, etc. and how we shape up after the long flight. The following day we fly to Havana , Cuba via Mexico City. To say I am excited is an understatement. We are spending 16 days travelling around Cuba with a local guide and staying in Casa Particulares ( often these are rooms in homes much like a B&B ).
I was pleased with my packing , a combination of mix and match pieces in mainly black and white but with a bit of colour thrown in for good measure. A few of my bracelets , necklaces and a couple of hats , a pair of sandals and walking shoes and I was done, total weight a very manageable 10kg.
My travelling outfit for today is a Paula Ryan black and white top under a black cotton Rundholz dress , topped with my Rundholz mesh jacket. Comfy Think shoes, my multi- coloured beads and a resin bangle are today’s accessories.
On the hair front I have taken advice from my lovely followers and friends and am a red head again. I feel like me again.
Must dash, see you in 3 weeks. I hope to post on Instagram if WiFi is available.
