Tartan In Any Season

I enjoy wearing tartan in any season and this little tartan top is light enough for a cooler Summer day but also works just as well with a knit underneath for a mild Winter day. It was a recycle find a few years ago now and remains a favourite of mine . The little tartan top has made several appearances on the blog over the years but this is not a problem for me as this is how I wear my clothes on repeat and throughout the different seasons.

The location for these photos was Red Bill Point Conservation Area on the Tamar River, an area new to me but known to John from kayaking on the river. The drive was two fold , taking blog photos and finding an interesting route for a MG Car Club run that John is organising in early February. We found some lovely back roads , unfortunately not all sealed so not suitable for precious cars and their owners. Now all we need is a fine, sunny day – not too hot or cool.

The tartan top was paired with my  linen and cotton Moyuru pants.  My shoes are Fly London , purchased at a local store a few years ago , that sadly is no longer in business. I do miss our small shops that have disappeared over the last few years . I am not an online shopper as I need to actually see the items and try them on . I am also a very tactile person and need to feel the fabrics and see the quality and workmanship.

Finally we had some cooler weather enabling me to wear these fingerless gloves with their yellow dots and bow. Gloves are a weakness of mine and I love to add to my collection when I travel, they make great souvenirs and take up little space in your luggage. I found this pair in a little glove shop in Paris in 2016.They bring back happy memories of our month long stay in a tiny apartment in the 2nd arrondissement. I will also happily admit to a having purchased a couple of others as well.

On the hair front , so far I am happy with the colour of the grey and silver coming through . I know for me the test will be having the patience as the growing out process can be a long one, maybe I will have a shorter style for a while , not sure yet. Any suggestions most welcome.

I love those fingerless gloves. What a neat idea to collect them. I actually do not like to have anything on my hands unless it is freezing cold so I barely ever wear them. These are very lovely with all the details in them.

Oh I need those kind of gloves! You and gloves….aaahh. I just bought a pair but they are the sporty style ones. Because I do wear them when I am working out. But I also need them for when I am in the wheelchair. And I want to wear stylish ones then end not the sporty ones. I am off now….on the hunt!

Thank you so much Elizabeth , I do love tartan. I am keeping my eye out for some interesting turbans and scarves as I know they and hats will be my friends as my hair grows out . No hardship as I love them.
