Spring has now officially arrived and we have welcomed a return to warmer days and clear blue skies , for a few days at least. Spring weather is always rather fickle here so I have taken advantage of the warmer weather and donned my brights.
Somehow the change of season tends to stir my playful side and what better way than by wearing polka dots, in this case Moyuru pants from a couple of Summers ago. Today I have teamed the pants with another old favourite , a Nicola Waite mesh cardigan with a bright abstract pattern. Nicola Waite is an Australian designer with a theatre background and this always comes through in her designs.
I have added a vintage velvet red cap, orange and silver necklace, white earrings, orange bangles and black and white Preen sunnies.
Frankly it really is a little too cool for sandals just yet so my navy patent and velvet Neo shoes and bright orange Wolford socks fitted the bill.
I really must be a creature of habit , this was my outfit from the same time last year.
The painted wall behind me is a new addition to our city and a colourful addition to a new playground and parkland. The wall was painted by two local indigenous artists with input from local school children and includes important cultural symbols as well as local fauna and flora.
A rather short post this week as the sun is shining and the garden is calling , those weeds just keep on coming.
Enjoy your week, whether heading into Autumn or Spring.

This really is a bold bright welcome to spring! The polka dot pants are fantastic.
Enjoy the warm weather.

Thanks Suzanne, it certainly is a bold and bright change for me. I am a big fan of polka dots.As often happens in early Spring , a cool change has arrived.
I love those brights on you, the Nicola Waite top reflects the wall art perfectly! It feels distinctly Autumnal here today but I’m holding out for an Indian Summer. xxx

Thanks so much Vix , it was a lovely sunny Spring day so I decided it was time to enjoy my brights. The weather has now taken a turn for the worse and feels like Winter again. Hope your Indian Summer returns. xx
I love the little bright touches! Spring has felt more like summer here, I had my shorts out yesterday and I’m contemplating shorts again here in Brisbane!
