Linen, Sequins and a Special Skirt

Today’s outfit started with the Sarah Pacinni skirt that I bought for my son’s wedding a few years ago.Every time I wear it , I fall for its dark olive green colour , fabulous fabric and style all over again.

I was putting together an outfit to wear for a lunch with friends , so out came my stone and black Bec and Bridge linen jacket and for a touch of sparkle a black sequin cami from New Zealand by Paula Ryan.

I also wore patent beige wedges by Sergio Rossi( very old indeed but look new as they are restaurant shoes these days) . I best explain ,the shoes you wear only if you are seated for most of the time, silly I know and maybe they should go but I love them too much to part with them just yet.

Jewellery was some ceramic beads and my orange cork earrings and my cream sunnies.

Autumn has well and truly arrived and with the somewhat cooler days I have been spending quite a bit of time trying to get my poor garden in order before Winter arrives.

Always a bit of a poser Raffy had to get in on the act, apologies for the blurry bits but I rather liked this one .

We had a couple of days in Hobart with this little sweetie and his Mum & Dad. Like all baby’s do he is growing like a mushroom , hard to believe he is now 5 months old.

Joining albeit a little late Patti for Visible Monday, Mica for Weekday Wear Link-up, Catherine at Not Dressed as Lamb, Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday.

That skirt is glorious, it’s got a Victorian look about it and the fact that it’s green makes it all the more special.
Your jacket is fab and I understand the restaurant shoes thing, I’m all about the lower heels these days.
Raffy is adorable and that lovely baby hasn’t half grown since we last saw him. xxx

Thank you so much Vix , I knew this skirt was a forever one on first sight. Its colour and style does have a Victorian look , maybe thats what appealed. I must admit to be pleased to don my jackets again after our hot Summer. Glad someone else gets the shoe thing.Enjoy your week Vix. xx

Ha, I definitely get the shoe thing! I walk a lot, almost everywhere I go, and live three floors up (no lift) at the bottom of a steep street, so I have quite a few pairs of shoes that nowadays are only worn if I’m being driven somewhere where I’ll mostly be sitting!
I too love that skirt, it’s spectacular; and your grandson looks quite delicious.

Glad I’m not the only one with shoes more suitable for sitting than actual walking but are too good to part with.
I knew this skirt would be worn many times other than the wedding, I love your description of my little grandson.
          Thank you Jessica.

This is a new blog format – it’s really looking good. And I can comment on it from Safari which is great. However, I haven’t had my usual emails so went looking for you. Will you have the sign-up/subscribe widget on it as I don’t want to miss out – you blogs are too good to miss 🙂

Thank you Penny , I do think we have the same taste as far as skirts go. I knew when I found this one for my son’s wedding a few years ago I would wear it lots and not just keep it for special occasions.
I am glad the new blog format makes commenting easier. I will work on adding the subscribe widget .

You always have great skirts. But I really love your sunglasses! I’ve been looking for white sunnies forever, so they really caught my eye. And they go so well with the cute dog!
The baby is cute, too, of course.

Many thanks Tiina. I know what you mean about finding white sunnies, I had been searching too and was thrilled when I saw this Fendi pair in the window of a new optometrist shop in my town and yes they do go well with Raffy.

Aw, what a sweet pictures. Love your jacket and I have gotten to love linen myself, dispite the wrinkles. i had to laugh when you said your “restaurant shoes”, as I call them my sitting shoes! I think all ladies have certain pairs that they like to wear to dinner, shows, etc but not walk around all day in .
Love the beautiful olive skirt and your sunnies are giving me wonderful vintage vibes, they look great!
    thanks forlinking!

Thank you so much Jess. I do love this jacket and even though its linen it really doesn’t wrinkle badly. Glad I’,m not the only one with shoes kept for special occassions. Now that you mention it the sunnies do have that vintage vibe. Always my pleasure to join the link up .
