Autumn has always been my favourite season with its clear , sunny days. After a busy Summer working more than was originally planned I am making the most of the sunny days and exploring our area before Winter sets in. John and I are planning to play tourist closer to home this year after our travels over the last few years.
On Sunday we visited Tamar Island Wetlands , an area we have passed numerous times but never seem to have the time to stop and explore.
Casual attire was needed for a walk on the board walk to Tamar Island. My choice for the day, Moyuru pants, short sleeve cardigan over a long sleeve top, Charles Jourdan scarf and Helen Kaminski cap.
The wetlands are home to over 50 species of birds. The beautiful Great Egrets above and the Australian Swamp Hen below are just a couple of the many we saw.
Enjoying the view over the Tamar River and wondering why I haven’t been here earlier.
Making the most of the sunny weather we drove down to Beauty Point for lunch at one of our favourite spots, The River Cafe, which has lovely views over the river. It also has a good selection of vegetarian options, I enjoyed a pumpkin, hummus and spinach salad.
As much as I would like to say I drove the Mazda MX5 , I still haven’t as it is a manual and I have become so used to driving an automatic these days .
Another perfect day on the river- a good day to be out on your boat.
There was a chill in the air when we left home so I donned this little tartan jacket , a recycled store purchase a few years back, Moyuru skirt, Paula Ryan top , Ted Baker hat, Preen sunnies and Fly London sandals. The red gloves are a having their first outing since I bought them at a little glove shop in Bilbao , Spain last October. That’s my sort of souvenir , memories at every wear.
Joining Patti for Visible Monday, Catherine at Not Dressed as Lamb, Mica for Weekday Wear, Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday and Nancy for Fancy Friday Link Up.
Super stylish as ever Jill with both of these outfits! I’m drawn to the little tartan jacket, but that’s probably to do with my being a Scot and just loving plaid. The sports car is the ultimate in accessory even though you can’t drive it! Have a great week x

Many thanks Anna, I do like to wear a touch of tartan too, maybe I have some Scottish heritage .Maybe it is time I took the plunge and finally drove the MX5. Enjoy your Spring Anna. xx
The Tamar Island Wetlands looks a wonderful place to explore. I’ve really got into bird watching over the last year or so and I’d be in my element.
Your casual gear puts most people’s best to shame! Those trousers are such a great shape. I love the tartan jacket and that incredible skirt, too.
Your MX5 is the perfect accessory! x

Thanks Vix, if you enjoy bird watching you certainly would find it fascinating with its variety of species. We are planning a return visit in the future. Casual is always something I struggle with , sometimes practical wins out.
I do like a touch of tartan sometimes. xx
Love both outfits Jill and you know I love your accessories! The red glove and shoes, as well as the mix of black red and white looks fab. What beautiful areas to lunch and enjoy the view. Autumn is my favorite too, I’ll just be happy when the sun is here to stay a bit.
thanks for linking!

That skirt of yours is just wonderful on you. And with that tartan top too – very very stylish. I shall have to visit the Moyuru website. What a great and very beautiful spot to visit.

Thank you so much Ivana. I am rather fond of this little tartan jacket, a second hand find a few years ago.
