Time for a new look – not me this time- an update for my blog. I finally made the switch from Blogger to WordPress., something I had contemplated for quite a while. I contacted Phil at Pipdig in the U.K. , who did all the technical bits for me as well as a new theme- Opulence , fitting name I thought.
I will admit I still have several tweeks to make as well as coming to grips with the new system but time has been a bit short lately as I am doing some relief work in a small card and gift store, a busy week last week as it was Valentines Day. I had no idea how many people both celebrate Valentines Day but also wedding anniversaries , obviously others are way more romantic than we are.
To welcome my first post I chose to wear pants from Aussie brand M.A. Dainty , they do remind me of the pants I remember the gauchos wearing in Argentina except they are a soft grey with a fine white stripe made from the softest fabric , so not at all suitable for a gaucho.I paired them with a white shirt from my always growing white shirt collection.
The parched brown paddocks from our hot, dry Summer do remind me of the Argentinian pampas.
This Charles Jourdan cerise pink bag seemed just right and paired beautifully with these floral slides from last Summer. The bag was a find at a local recycle store, Return to Splendour, a few years ago and I love its shape and colour. I also wore my black boater.

Happy new blog! I’m glad the transition went well – you popped up on my sidebar so the notifications are working.
Loving your New Look silhouette. Those trousers are so dramatic and the tie on your blouse echoes the flounces perfectly.
I knew that bag was Charles Jourdan immediately, I’ve found many of them over the years although, if I’d ever come across one in that vibrant shade of pink t would still be in my wardrobe! xxx

Many thanks Vix , glad I popped up in your side bar . Still having a few issues that I am trying to sort out but happy with the look. There was something about the Charles Jourdan bags that did make them quite different wasn,t there , I love this one.
Congratulations on the new blog design! There’s a lot to learn, switching to WordPress. I did that last autumn, when I was really busy with work, and didn’t really have time to properly learn how the new system works. But that’s life, isn’t it? There’s always so much going on that we can never focus on just one thing at a time.
I love the outfit, too.

Love your new blog layout and it sounds like it has been a good transition. Your outfit is so stylish, love this style pant on you, and the structured look with pops of color is lovvely! That bag is gorgeous! Love the magenta shade and shape of it! It goes so well with those slides!

Thank you Jess, I am rather pleased with the new layout and the transition to WordPress , I still have to learn more about WordPress.I do rather like the pants and the way they fall. Even though I don’t use the bag as often as I know I should it is one of my favourites.Always my pleasure to join your link up .

I can only imagine how excited you must have been with those rather special shoes. I must admit this is my only pair. Many thanks Contessa for dropping by.
