After a relatively mild Winter , Spring has arrived early in my garden. This bright pink Camellia Reticulata with its huge, ruffled blooms always puts on quite a show .
Each year I look forward to this pink Magnolia in full bloom , it is a magnificent sight and heralds the return of Spring and Summer.
This last week has been one of lessons learned, firstly don’t go to the hairdresser when you are feeling not 100% in the hope it will cheer you up . You would think by now I really should know better by now. The hair is O K but darker than I like and a tad too short but it will grow and colour can be changed .
Secondly, when you are advised by your GP to take vitamin D as your levels are low do take them religiously not just hit and miss as is my want. After an Xray to determine the case of back and hip pain , the results came back as expected age related wear and tear but also early Osteopenia in my spine. Better late than never I am taking that vitamin D .
Enjoying the fragrance of the jonquils with Raffy , also wearing his Winter white.
My outfit is a mix of old favourites , the black and cream skirt from Verge , black Paula Ryan knit, cream Moyuru jacket , black and cream wool beret and a selection of black and cream bangles.
Finishing this post with a few shots taken in the Central Highlands , a rather remote area of our state, popular for bush walking and fishing. John is about to undertake a compass walk here with SES and
was doing a “recce”, I came along for the ride and a short walk around Pine Lake.
Yes, it was freezing cold and my walk was on duck board not through the bush, a girl has her limits.

And it's getting colder and colder over here! I hate it. Spring is the most beautiful time of the year, don't you think so too? Enjoy!
Oh yes Nancy Spring is always a beautiful season. I bet you are feeling the cooler weather after your rather hot Summer. Thank you I will enjoy the first of Spring's joys.
Ah, the hairdressing regrets! Well, the hair grows, and the colour will probably fade a bit (or the sun will lighten it). That magnolia tree is spectacular!
You really think by now I would be past hairdresser regrets but no as this was a reminder. I do so enjoy the first of the Spring flowers. Thanks so much Tiina, enjoy your change to Autumn.
Ah, Spring! It's colder and wetter here in the UK – winter is coming (Gameof Thrones reference!). That's one amazing jacket, Jill! Hope you're feeling better and the hair will grow. Btw, we're currenty watching the Veulta (just up to the 2nd day) and Richie Porte is a bit behind as he's not 100% – I do feel for him and hope things improve.
Many thanks Penny, I had noticed that your weather had turned.I have always enjoyed Winter white and this jacket is a favourite.I watched the first day of the Vuelta but have only caught glimpses since then as the full replay is on very late at night. This season certainly has not been one of Richie's best on the injury and illness front.
ah, I think your hair looks lovely, Jill, but i know what you mean.. I barely get much chopped more of a trim. Love seeing Raffy in pics and your matching white/off white. Your jacket is stunning – love the collar and mix with black. You have such pretty flowers in your garden, and I am so bad at identifying them. Do take that Vit D! I get plenty in the summer here, but get it checked in the winter as it is easy to forget. thanks for linking!jess xxwww.elegantlydresedandstylish.com
Thank you Jess always my pleasure to join your link up. Glad you liked my hair but I still have my reservations and have at this stage decided to grow it a little again. Raffy is always a great addition to my photos and he is a such a poser too.I have always loved Winter white and this jacket is a favourite. Spring is always such a lovely time in my garden.
I am sorry to hear that you didn't feel 100%, my dear Jill! I trust that you do take the doctor's recommendations more seriously now, but don't beat yourself up – we often learn from our own mistakes, we all do it. I hope you are feeling better! I love this length of hair and color on you, but I'm with you – they will grow, and the color is easy enough to change, if you're still not satisfied. You look wonderful wearing winter white with Raffy in your garden! I love this skirt of yours, and both the white and metallic jackets are beautiful. You always accessorize in your own unique way – masterfully! This natural area is so peaceful and beautiful. As you are entering Spring, we are moving into Autumn, and your pictures really make me miss it even more… I enjoy this natural cycle of things.
