Autumn Gold, Chartreuse and Black and White

Autumn Gold, Chartreuse and Black and White were the order of the day for today’s photos taken in a parkland in the small town of Evandale.  The parkland backs on to church grounds and encompasses the early church graveyard.

I find old grave yards fascinating as they tell so much about our states early settlers. My sister is exploring our family history and we have visited several grave yards together and managed to locate many of our early family headstones. I am always saddened by the many children’s headstones.

Today was a clear sunny Autumn day with a little chill in the air so my much loved layers came out to play – with my short black and white check Privilege jacket worn under my chartreuse linen duster and paired with my Maude Dainty frilled wide leg pants. It was still warm enough for sandals so out came my black patent leather Sonia Rykiel favourites. My black and white spot gloves, black boater ,white clip on earrings and a new  black and white necklace finish off today’s outfit.

I love old graveyards too, they're so peaceful and full of stories. You look gorgeous in chartreuse, esp with your new hair color. Thanks for linking, xo-Pattihttp://notdeadyetstyle.com

Thank you Gloria , I am so pleased I provide inspiration for your clever sewing skills, not a talent I possess unfortunately.

Such a lovely outfit, and you look great in chartreuse! And sandals? It must be (mostly) quite warm, then, still. For me, 19 degrees celsius is the lowest temperature for sandals (but I catch a cold easily if my feet are cold)…

Thank you Tiina , I do enjoy enjoy wearing chartreuse but it is hard to find. Our weather is cool in the mornings but early 20's by mid day- so warm enough for sandals .

Even when wearing something casual you always manage to look like a glamorous diva Jill! I once visited an old British cemetery here in Kathmandu. A sad and at the same time fascinating place…

I'm always seeking out old graveyards, I find them fascinating especially the foreign ones. Pierre Lachaise is a favourite. Children's headstones and those of young men who fell during the First World War are both so very sad.Your outfit is, as always, gorgeous. I love the shot of chartreuse. xxx

I absolutely LOVE this outfit, Jill! Chartreuse is such a beautiful zesty color, you set it off perfectly with black and white, to the tiniest detail.I think it comes the time in life when looking back at our roots becomes healing. My Mom researched not only our family history, but the history of the little village where she was born – it's a tragic story with Stalin's repressions and the World War II. But so many people are grateful for her work now, both villagers and children and grandchildren of them. I helped her to put the web-site together, it's the labor of love.Lots of love, dear!

Thank you so much Natalia , you are such a sweetie. I am sure the coming generations will treasure your mothers hard work . It is true that you do develop more of an interest in family history as you get older. xxx

Oh it's difficult to know where to start with this fabulous outfit Jill, as I love it all – that duster, those trousers, that necklace, those gloves – all get my drooling seal of approval. If I had to chose my favourite piece it would be the duster for its mouthwatering colour – I just adore that. Your ability to find such unique and interesting pieces is unrivalled, bravo!Wishing you a lovely weekend!Anna x
