A Winery Visit In Black and White

A couple of weeks ago we visited Goatey Hill Wines – one of several vineyards in the Tamar Valley Region not far from where we live. It was a clear, sunny day providing wonderful views from the terrace , where we enjoyed a tasting plate of local produce and of course a glass , maybe two , of their prize winning wines.

My outfit for the day centred around a black dress with white frills from Mist , worn over black pants, teamed with a my black straw boater , bangles , multi-coloured ceramic necklace, an old favourite and red espadrilles.

This fellow is a goat ( imagine is required) and a nod to the jazz concerts that the vineyard hosts a few times every year. I have not attended one yet but is definately on the list.

I was rather taken with  this cockatoo sculpture spied as we were leaving .

Jill, it is beautiful! I love the colorful jewelry with your black and white outfit. I've never been to a winery, though I love wine, especially reds, but white and rose are also good – in hot weather or with a spicy hot meal. 🙂 Love the sculptures! I would be tempted to visit their concerts too. <3

Thank you so much Natalia , I think thats one reason I enjoy black and white, its a great canvas to show colourful jewellery. I must admit to being a white wine drinker , where as John enjoys a good red.
