What to wear for a car club run in the country and a Christmas in July lunch at a country pub . The obvious choice for me was red with leopard touches – always a favourite of mine.
Christmas in July is a bit of a local tradition , no doubt started by homesick English folk that felt the cool weather in July is much more suitable for eating heavier Christmas fare . Maybe it just is an excuse to dress your pub in as much Christmas kitsch as is possible. Whatever the reason it was a great drive in the country and an enjoyable lunch with friends.
After lunch we ventured further afield to a Forest Reserve that was completely new to me but a special spot for John and his family . Fortunately I had sneakers in the car, red suede and bush tracks don’t mix. A relatively short walk through the bush to a forest lookout revealed quite a stunning sight known as the Alumn Cliffs Gorge.

Christmas in July! Why not, sounds wonderful. And you look suitably christmassy, too, in your colour-pop red.
Any excuse really for a fun day out. Thanks so much Tiina, red always says Christmas to me.
You look fantastic in your red and leopard mix, Jill! Such an elegant hiker! And how handy to keep sneakers in your car (I also do it). Such beautiful views, and gorgeous car!
Thank you Natalia, they are always good companions and brighten up any Winter day. Keeping sneakers in the car is often a handy idea , no excuse not to enjoy a walk .
Perfection you ,the car, the blog, yeahhhhhhhhhhhh The best way to get all the photos the same size is to upload them to Pick Monkey (it is free) and you choose the size https://www.picmonkey.com/
