Today was one of those days where nothing I chose to wear seemed to work for me , ( you know the days when half your wardrobe contents end up on the bed ), so as often happens in these times I reverted to my
old favourite black and white combination.
Our old railway yards provided today’s backdrop. This area is home to our Museum and University Arts Faculty and in the future will be the full campus of our University as it relocates from its current site. I find
it so encouraging when once abandoned and unused sites are brought back to life for future generations to enjoy.
Wearing a black and white overload from the black and white fedora to the black and white pony print shoes. Everything , except for my black and white spot gloves, has been with me for many moons . The gloves are another find from the little glove shop that just happened to be around the corner from where we stayed in Paris.

I know perfectly well the days!! And the panic when I realize that I am getting late for work… :-)In those moments the only solution is going back to old combinations … as your photos demonstrate…they always work!!Have a wonderful week, darling!
I think most of us have those days when nothing seems to work and like you I return to tried and true. Thank you Dan, enjoy your week.
Well you may have started out all over the place, Jill, but you finished up brilliantly. Love the black pants too! Nice photographic work:) Have a great week. xx
Thank you so very much Elizabeth , it started out as one of those days. I will pass on your kind comments to my photographer (my husband) , he will be pleased. Hope your week is a good one.
Oh I know those days! Never mind how big a wardrobe I have, there's always a moment when I have nothing to wear… You did well, though. This proves that when you have a signature style, it's easier to navigate those 'I have nothing to wear' moments. Nice backdrop to photos, too.
Silly isn't but I think most of us have nothing to wear days. I also agree on the signature style it does make these days easier. Thanks Tiina, glad you liked our background.
Hooray for black and white and this marvelous look! Great setting as well. Thanks for linking, xox-Pattihttp://notdeadyetstyle.com
My pleasure to link for Visible Monday. Good old black and white, always works for me.
Your black and white friends, as well as your sense of artful dressing never fail, my dear Jill! Love the new gloves – the subtle print is superb!I am also happy to see old sites becoming something new and exciting, it's like getting a second life. Beautiful photos!
Thank you dear Natalia, my faithful black and friends never let me down.I am rather pleased with these gloves as they are finer and will see me through to Summer. Glad you liked the photos, John will be pleased.

Thank you so much Jodie , so true black and white can be so much fun to play with.
Oh yes, we've all had those days when nothing feels right and you go through practically everything in your wardrobe but clearly black and white doesn't let you down. This is truly stunning and there's is so much lovely detail here – the pattern on the shoes and hat, the layers of black and white adding depth and the lace!Thank you for pushing me to explore my own black and white story Jill.https://petitesilvervixen.blogspot.co.uk/
Many thanks glad you liked my black and white overload and that it inspired you to add some black and white to your own looks and made it your own.
