Vintage Green and Nature’s Gold

Green is one colour that I have am always rather ambivalent about. I always like it on others but not so sure on me. I fell for this olive green velvet jacket at Red Fox Vintage, the unusual colour , the style and the buttons convinced me to give green another try.I also had found this rather unusual vintage green hat at a
pop up vintage store earlier in the year , it was time to give green another try.I teamed my green with this
black and cream skirt that has seen many Winters.

One thing I really look forward to this time of year is the flowering of the Golden Wattle , a small sign that
we are on the tail end of Winter. They also make the perfect background for my green.

The hat – so awesome. Loving the deepest green colors today, against the natural background. Thanks for sharing and stay fabulous, xoPattihttp://notdeadyetstyle.com

Glad you like this hat Patti, it was such a great buy from a lady who owned a vintage store years ago and was selling all her remaining stock. As always a great pleasure to join Visible Monday.

Yes, olive green is definitely your colour. And it looks great with brown and orange, so you can mix and match the coat and hat with other items, too.

That hat is fabulous, Jill! Like something out of the Highlands of Scotland, maybe…and you have wattle out – I think I caught a wiff of some yesterday, it seems to be late this year up here.

We have had a milder, wet Winter down here so things are earlier than usual.Thank you for your kind comments , hadn't thought of the Scottish Highlands and the hat but now that you mention it .

Sometimes it is good try a colour that you don't usually wear and I too liked the olive green, so possibly more come Summer.

Immensely lovely outfit, dear Jill. I adore the Edwardian-esque vibe that it (very much including your magnificent hat) telegraphs. xoxo ♥ Jessica
