Last Saturday my eldest son , Zac married the love of his life , Sarah. The wedding was held by the beach at
Bicheno on the East coast of Tasmania, a place holding special meaning for them both.
The proud parents of the groom , enjoying a quiet moment together before the ceremony. As a mother you
can’t help reflecting on the time that has passed to get to this moment in time and the joy of watching the small boy become the kind , caring , compassionate young man he is today.
We are so happy to welcome our beautiful and talented daughter-in-law into our family.
My outfit for the day was a Sarah Pacinni long skirt in an unusual almost olive green and a patterned sequined top from Joseph Ribkof , black patent wedges , a bronze mesh cuff and a pearl necklace.
Callum , our other son, was over for the wedding and fulfilling the role as official photographer.
The wedding was a family affair with everyone involved in some way, Sarah’s sister made and decorated the wedding cake , Sarah’s brother was ring bearer and my husband John gave the speech.
I was honoured to be asked to make the bridal bouquet and to arrange the flowers for the reception. This was my first bridal bouquet and I was rather pleased how it turned out. Originally the bouquet was to be garden flowers but due to the hot, dry Summer garden flowers are in short supply , so I ordered some from
a local Rose grower. As if by a fluke of nature the week of the wedding a rose by the name of The Children’s Rose flowered on cue , so some blooms came into play.
A day of celebration shared with family and friends from all over Australia .
A wonderful day to celebrate the love between you as you embark on New Beginnings.
