Today I had planned a different location for photos but I got an urgent call to come into work at short notice
so my Winter garden became a backdrop for some quick shots. I was so pleased this week to see the first daffodils , this coincided with the coldest weather our state had experienced for many years.
Raffy, my little garden helper just had to get in on the act . We had time for a quick play before I headed off to work. He is a little poser and really plays to the camera.
Standing near my favourite camellia that is about to burst into bloom. This camellia was given to me by my late mother when we moved into this house many years ago and every years its pretty pink and white blooms evoke happy memories of times with Mum in the garden.
Today I am wearing my ever faithful skort and a Sarah Pacini wool top , I love that it is interesting both front and back , a collection of black and white bangles and black suede boots and a little black wool hat .
Joining Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday.
You are the most wonderful flower in your winter garden, my dear JillXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
Thank you so much my friend.
It's a beautiful garden, and your little helper is so cute… And you lok very trendy and stylish, as always.
Thank you Tiina , I am looking forward to my Spring garden .
I adore your black on black ensembles. It makes me look forward to colder weather so I can begin to experiment with all the blacks in my closet, too. So nice to see Raffy again!
Glad you like the black on black , Marea , this is what I tend to wear most days. Raffy always enjoys his guest appearance.
Love this chic look and the design of the sweater how it shows off your shape with the crossover in the front. Your puppy is so cute. My boy will look at the camera, but my girl is a shy one. Pretty flowers too Jill! Thanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!jess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Thanks so much Jess , the design of the sweater is what drew me to it and the unusual textures. Raffy can be a little show off in front of the camera sometimes. Thank you for hosting Turning Heads Tuesday.
Oooh, your sweater is some kind of awesome. Always a delight to see what you're wearing, the angles, the drapes, the architecture in general. Black is never just black on you, that's for sure. Raffy is pretty adorable.
Oh Melanie thank you so much , glad you enjoy the outfits and their architecture as much as me. Raffy does enjoy a guest appearance now and again.
Love the texture of your wool top. And how lovely that the camellia still blooms every year – wonderful way to remember your Mum.http://petitesilvervixen.blogspot.co.uk/
Thank you so much, it was the texture that drew me to the top. I always look forward to camellia blooming time.
Amazing outfit, Jill! Love the sweater, such great shape and details. You're a true artist! Raffy is adorable, and your garden looks so inviting with the first flowers. I'm happy for you that you can feel your mother's presence every time you see your camellia. xxx
Thank you for your always kind comments Natalia. The garden is as you know a source of great joy for me , particularly as it begins its Spring flowering.
Your outfits are often peculiar and very interesting. This one is not an excepion! Its special shape is lovely! The little gardener seems glad to give you an helpful paw!! 🙂 pets are so sweet!Your beautiful garden make me think to the novel I am reading now! ( The Secret Garden, have you read it?)
Our pets are so special and such an important part of our lives . I have read The Secret Garden many years ago, I think it is time for a re read , thanks for the reminder.
Jill that skort is beautiful. You have such unique and lovely pieces. Looks as if the cold weather is doing havoc all over. How cute and adorable is Raffy :). I can tell he's been around the cameras too long and has become a model himself. Have a lovely week. xo
Thank you Elsie , I am enjoying these pieces so much, so easy to wear. Hope your weather has improved this week, ours is cool but mostly sunny. Raffy is certainly a little poser for the camera. Enjoy your week.
