I discovered this interesting hat the other day at a recycled clothing store and it turned out to be just perfect
for a Winter drive in the sunshine to a pretty little spot by the river known as Native Point.
Unfortunately the hat came without a label so I know nothing of its origins , it is a felt and comes with attached scarf that could be cashmere. If anyone has any ideas on its origin I would love to know.
Walking along a path through the native bush wearing a black coat with a large plush leopard collar that
has seen many Winter days and is now older than my grown sons, I believe in getting my money’s worth from my coats and jackets.
On another note I was deeply honoured to be interviewed by the very talented Natalia from In the Writers Closet . If you don’t know Natalia she is a not only a wonderfully skilled writer , she has her own colourful style and is a master of accessories , always beautifully photographed.
One of Natalia’s questions was “what does blogging bring to your life”?. Meeting and making friends with like minded souls and sharing a little of their lives for me is truly the best part of this whole blogging experience.

What a great find, Jill! Just perfect with the scarf and this gorgeous, rich coat. Beautiful photos too – such wonderfully blue clear sky! Thank you so very much for your kind words. Hats, plus leopard, plus an amazing coat…ooohhh, you so know that I'm there!!! 🙂 I've never had a leopard print (or trimmed) coat, come to think of it, but you are so making me daydream amount one now. It wouldn't be handy at the moment though, with summer just kicking up here – a leopard bathing suit would probably be a smarter choice for the next two – three months. 🙂 After that though, big time!!! Have a stellar July, my lovely friend!♥ Jessica
I have always enjoyed wearing leopard print, it seems to warm up A cold Winter's day. Enjoy that Summer sunshine , maybe in a swimsuit, I know it does seem to be over in a flash. Thank you so much Jessica. xx
You look so glamourous in your coat and hat. I always love connecting with you because it always shakes me up. Here we are in the U.S. boiling in the heat and you are wearing a winter coat! And just when we put on our coats, you'll be posing in a swimsuit. (ok . . . maybe not!)
Thank you Marea for your always kind comments. I know the opposite seasons take a bit of getting used to , I enjoy all the Summer stories at present it warms a cold day.
How fabulous do you look?! Like an old-school movie star x
Thank you so very much for your kind words.
So very glamorous, Jill! Looking like a Hollywood Diva. The leopard collar is "to die for" piece to have in one's wardrobe. The new hat matches the look perfectly as well as the sunglasses and those leopard gloves.
Thanks Olga , I always am partial to a little leopard to brighten up the Winter, I guess this is why this coat has continued to be a favourite part of my Winter.
That is a fantastic hat, Jill! The attached scarf is a very nice idea, and I would love to find a similar one for myself!I absolutely share your idea about blogging, you have express it wi really perfect words:making friends with like minded souls, and sharing a little of their lives!

Thank you so much Alice , I enjoyed TBT and plan to continue.
I loved your interview! Which remind me that I have to go back to Natalia's and comment there… Oooh, a hat with an attached scarf reminds me of glamour Hollywood days, open Bugatti's and martinis. Your hat with the coat do a fine job at recreating the mystique.
Thank you Melanie, I enjoyed the interview with Natalia, she is such a talented writer. Must remember to find a Bugatti and a martini for the hat's next outing.
Beautiful outfit Jill. I love the coat and hat combo and the matching gloves. Enjoy the rest of your week. xo
Thank you so very much, Elsie.
