Taking a walk on the wild side, both with my animal prints and today’s wild and windy weather. Today is a public holiday to celebrate the Queens Birthday, never mind this is Australia and the queen is in England and today is not really her birthday. Confused, so are we , but we take the holiday anyway.
Told you it was windy , trying my best not to loose my hat. Anyhow, we continued on and managed to
take several shots before the rain tumbled down.
Here I am breaking those fashion rules again, tsk.tsk., by wearing two animal prints together. I must admit this is something I once would have never done but I am quite pleased with the result.
Pairing my animal prints with my Moyuru pants , I am definately getting my moneys worth from these pants.
On the steps of Macquarie House, one of the buildings in the Civic Square, a mixture of both historic and modern buildings, including the Post Office , Library , Public Buildings and the Town Hall.
This interesting sculpture is a new addition to the area and will warrant more investigation on a calmer day.
Today I am wearing a coat from Lee Bird , that has kept me warm for many Winters, the top is from Marlene Berger , pants Moyuru , hat and gloves , Ted Baker and booties .
Joining Patti at Visible Monday before she takes a well earned Summer break
and Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday.
This outfit certainly has enough attitude to kick the rain's butt… And those gloves are just fierce!
Thank you Tiina , must have worked today is fine , cool and sunny.
Agreed – those are some fierce gloves, and I love the subtle pattern-mixing. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xo.
Thank you Patti, I was pleased with how the pattern mixing turned out. Always enjoy Visible Monday.
Perfect post, Jill! And we both are exploring our wild sides! 🙂 I adore animal print, and especially double mix like yours (or triple 🙂 – it makes me incredibly happy! Love the windy photos! Do not fly away!! Beautiful sculpture, and gorgeous you! One of my favorite outfits of yours for sure. :)ps Have you received my email? Just wanted to make sure that it arrived, sometimes they get lost.
Thank you Natalia, we are both on the wild side this week. I agree it makes me happy too. The weather has now settled, thank goodness.
You look smashing! And I love that skirt especially.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
It must have been quite a challenge to wear a hat at such windy weather! Actually your two animal prints look so good together, not overwhelming at all. So the trick is in just choosing the right prints I guess! Bravo! And I like your necklace too.
You are right about the hat on such a windy day , a mistake I realised once I left home but too late to change.I was pleased how the animal prints worked out , glad you liked them. Thank you for your kind comments Olga.
it was quite windy, but that didnt take away this great look of yours! Love the double animal print, yes we rebel against foolish rules! The necklace and lipcolor are quite pretty coral, brown tones too! Thanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!jess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Always a pleasure to join in Turning Heads Tuesday and see so many wonderful looks. Thank you for your always kind and generous comments.
THIS! Fantastic, my friend. What a brave – and successful – set of styling decisions. Of course you can wear two different animal print together! After all, they are the new neutrals. I continue to applaud your fashion-forward ensembles :-)Aliciaspashionista.com
I knew I could count on your always honest opinions Alicia, so glad you liked them. Thank you for your input, have a good week.
Funny about the Queen's birthday! And also the photo of you trying to keep your hat in the wind…the outfit is very nice and also the shape of your coat and skirt are well mixed together! Beautiful necklace and … interesting statue:does it represent a plant?
Only in Australia would the Queens birthday be celebrated on the wrong day.I think the statue is a native plant but I must go and check. Glad you liked the outfit Dan. xx
Ooops, I thought I commented here already…I do really love your pattern mixing here. And always your hats!
Thanks Joni , glad I'm not the only one that gets things muddled.
