Autumn, take a bow , you are providing us with such wonderful weather and turning the foliage in my garden
a myriad of colours, providing the perfect background for today’s black and cream outfit.
Standing amongst the multitude of self sown white Elysium plants that show themselves every Summer and,
Autumn , reflecting on the changes taking place around me.
I had an enjoyable weekend in Hobart catching up with my eldest son, Zac and his partner Sarah. We had
a busy time , involving eating out, visiting MONA ( a museum of old and new art ) and enjoying a movie
together. We went to see The Second Best Marigold Hotel, a movie I thoroughly enjoyed and would highly
recommend, a great cast and a pertinent message about the joy of reinventing your life , regardless of age, make it a winner in my book.
Co-ordinating some of my black and white resin and plastic bangles with a bunch of white dahlias from the
garden. Does anyone else have a bracelet collection or is it just me?
Continuing on with my theme of mixing my Moyuru pieces with favourites from seasons past,
I have chosen a cream three quarter sleeve jacket and bow tie top , both are by Ted Baker.
I must admit I was rather pleased with the result, the structured top and jacket are not so severe
when paired with loose, billowy pants.
I am so enjoying these Japanese pieces ( or at least designed in Japan but made elsewhere) and
hope to add a couple more in time.

Fabulous Ted Baker pieces – and you look lovely among the flowers, Jill. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xo.
Thankyou Patti, I always enjoy sharing with Visible Monday.
You look great in black and white. So, you have not just an impressive jacket collection but a bangle collection, too?
Thankyou Tiina, I seem to return to my black and white. I guess our collections that we have amassed over time is a definate plus that comes with the passing years.
I love all those bangles…especially the polka dot one. I'm quite the fan of polka dots. I have been wanting to see that movie for quite some time. Nice hearing from you and thanks for asking after me. I have slowed down a bit on posting, while trying to figure out a more workable schedule. Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
So glad to hear all is well and you are just plain busy. I must admit polka dots in any guise are a favourite of mine too. I thoroughly recommend the movie if you get a chance.

You are becoming a pro at the Mix and Match Game. Moyura and Ted Baker–how cool is that! Would love to share my box of bangles with you some day. I have hundreds!
I would love to share in your box of bangles, they sound wonderful. I do enjoy the Mix and Match Game, for me it means I get so much more wear of my better pieces.
You look stunning in your monochrome outfit amid the Autumnal colours in your lovely garden. Those dahlias go particularly well with your impressive selection of bangles!
Thankyou so much, I look forward to see your garden as it grows.
I think you are the Queen of Black and White, Jill – I bow to you. 🙂 I would like to find some combinations with my structured jackets that feel as elegant yet informal as yours here. I love blazers, but they do give away such a formal vibe, and I am really nothing but formal… I still remember enjoying the Spring photos of your lush garden – Autumn looks beautiful too! I'm glad to hear that you had such a wonderful time with your son and his partner, the museum visit sounds great, and I too enjoyed The Second Best… it's such a powerful message, which our beloved actors leave to all of us to "grow up" with. 🙂 xxx
I meant to say ANYTHING but formal of course! 🙂
Thankyou Natalia, as you know I always seem to end up back in my Black and White. I hope you do end up playing with those blazers, I can see them over some of your pieces.Spring probably sees the garden at its best but I enjoy all the different seasons.
Jill, you always have on the most fabulous and unique pieces. Keep 'em coming!
Thankyou Glenda, praise indeed. I am enjoying playing with new, for me, different shapes.
The draped skirt is fun!Alena & http://garmentsspeech.blogspot.com
Thankyou, Alena, so glad you liked it.
Oh no, you are not the one to own a huge collection of accessories!! Women can pile up soooo many of them in their closets! :-)Now that I am packing things for moving house, I am realizing that I could open a jewelry shop with mine!!The 3/4 sleeves is lovely with that top and your black and white bracelets matches perfectly!
Glad I am not the only one, Dan. I hope we are not moving any time soon , it would be such a mamoth task.Hope your move goes well.
Love everything in this outfit ! You look gorgeous 🙂 x
Thankyou so very much Beata.
I've seen these pants in several outfits of yours, Jill, and I always like how you style them. What a versatile piece, goes with many things. Love your today's look, elegant and easy! And the bangles are super cool! I've seen the first Marigold hotel movie, I liked it very much. So, the second part in on my list to watch.
Thankyou Olga, I have found these pants a lot more versatile than I first thought. I am a great believer in making my clothes work for me. I hope you get to see the second Marigold Hotel I am sure you would enjoy it.
Swoon. you know how I love Ted Baker, great style…Love your flowers too. If only what my hubby plants would do well, it can bevery dry here in the South. Love the red lipstick too. Enjoy your week, JillThank you for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesdayjess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Thankyou Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday. I do remember you are a Ted Baker fan, I can see you in some of their pretty florals.
I adore Ted Baker cuts. Normally I'm attracted to the amazing prints they have. The top and jacket have great structure and are quite striking together.bisousSuzanne
Thank you Suzanne, I can certainly see you in the Ted Baker florals. I admire them and sometimes buy one of the pretty floral scarves, I'm afraid I am a plain girl.
I just saw that film the other week – and I loved it! There's a second on the way too, and I'm so looking forward to it :-)The cream jacket is brilliant for showing off the bangle collection (I have a rather large collection too), and great with the Japanese bottom. The weather looks nice in your photos, but I heard of an awful storm around Sydney, I hope you and your lovely flowers didn't see any of it!
Glad you enjoyed the film Tine, so inspiring I thought.I will look forward to seeing more of your bangle collection, it is fun collecting isn't it. Fortunately we have escaped the wild weather that hit Sydney over the last few days, it has wrecked havoc there.I hope you have a great week.
Reinvention; I hear and see that word everywhere lately. There must be something to it.You always look beautiful – always – and I love watching the seasons evolve around your black and white outfits. Thank you for sharing with us :-)Aliciaspashionista.com
Thank you Alicia, I must admit I have been enjoying playing with different styles and adding pieces from my closet. Glad you enjoy watching my opposite change of season to yours. Hope all is well with you and you are recovered from the accident.
Hello, Jilly!! Once again, knocking me out with the Japanese inspired pieces … you look gorgeous. The whole silhouette is so flattering and feminine … excellent in black and white with your pretty red lippy! So glad you got to spend time with the kids, and got to see the film. It's on my must-see list, too. How's your weather been … we saw horrific pictures from NSW, but not sure how that affects you. Sweet Elysium; a childhood memory and a good one. So nice to think of it again!Hope your winter is a mild and happy one, kid!
Hello Jan, so pleased to hear from you. I am loving my Japanese inspired pieces and playing with mix and match from my closet, I must admit I really love a red lippy, somehow it feels more me than one paler. It was good to catch up with the kids, it had been a while. I do hope you get to see the movie, I feel sure you would enjoy it. We escaped the wild weather that wrecked havoc in NSW earlier this week.Lovely to hear from you Jan, take care.
