An Autumn Tinge

The trees are showing an Autumn colour tinge and so am I in today’s outfit. Autumn is my favourite time of
year with clear, sunny days. We took advantage of the sunny skies and visited Corra Linn , a favourite picnic
spot not far from home.

Wearing a burnt orange duster coat from Ark , a company that designs and produces their clothing in
Australia. I must admit I have a bit of a coat fetish, both light like this or heavier warmer ones, they just
seem to call my name. My reasoning is they don’t date and can be worn year in, year out.
Do others have this problem or is it just me ?

Continuing my exploration of  interesting shapes I have paired the duster coat with a cream and black top,

layered over a long sleeved tee and my black skort over leggings. Both these items from Moyuru were

seen in previous posts over Summer. I am a great believer in making my clothing work for me , for as many

seasons as possible.

Echoing the wonderful grey tree trunk behind me, a cream and grey fedora by Crochetta that has seen
many Autumns. A few of my bracelets in cream, black and yellow add to today’s Autumn theme.

I am enjoying playing in my closet to create a look for a new season, I hope you are enjoying your change
of seasons , be it to Spring or Autumn.

Beautiful autumn colours! And by that I mean your coat… I love autumn, too (not really a fan of spring: too much pollen everywhere…) as it's not too cold nor too hot but the temperature is just perfect… for coats (yep, I have a coat fetish, too… we should form a support group)

Tiina, so glad to hear that I am not alone with my coat fetish, they always seem to call my name and I guess the same with you. I know what you mean about Spring as lovely as the new blooms, grasses, etc are , they do cause problems. Hope you survive this year without too many problems.

Wonderful fall colours Jill! I so wished I could wear orange, but it is the worst colour on me. It's so vibrant and positive you can't help smiling. Your coat is great, in a classic cut that will keep it up to date for the next decade 🙂 With my weakness for large bangles I'm just about getting envious here – they're all gorgeous.

Thankyou Tine, glad you liked the orange. I am sure you can wear all the lovely jewel tones that do nothing for me.My collection of large bangles does seem to be growing, I am very fond of them in all colours and materials.

I adore your burnt orange coat, Jill! You combined it so beautifully with your beloved pieces too, love all the layering going on here, and as always thoughtful accessorizing. You look like a picture of Autumn! I love Autumn too, it's the most inspiring creative time to me. xxx

Autumn is a wonderful time of year, you have to love the clear, sunny days or is it because they are our colours, maybe a bit of both. Thankyou again for your kind comments.

I'm with you on the Autumn colour palette! That coat is the most beautiful deep orange, and you do look fab in checks! We've had a week of quite hot weather, but we are back to the cold, windy and showery weather now (AKA English summer!!).

Spring weather is always fickle here too, you wait so long for it to come and it invariably disappoints. Autumn colours are just so warm and for me easy to wear. I hope the week goes well for you.

Hi Jill, Happy Autumn and it's my favorite time of year too but I'll have to wait a while for that. I love the colors and textures of the season. Your jacket is gorgeous. Burnt orange is a favorite of mine for years. I think I first noticed it in the early 70's.

Burnt orange is such a great colour but so very hard to find. Enjoy your Spring and Summer, they always seem to go so quickly.

Lovely Autumn day up here in Canberra too! I do love your orange on black and cream action and your skort!! Beautiful hat and all in all gorgeousness 🙂 Inspired by your previous post with the cream leather jacket over black long sleeved tee. I will try something similar with my gold one! xo Jazzy Jack

Nothing like a new season to start the thinking process and checking the closet to rediscover some old favourites.
