Today we visited Clarendon House ( which dates from 1838 ) and its park like gardens.Time and a little matter of having Raffy with us did not permit a tour of the house but we are determined to do so soon.
I have always had an interest in our historic properties and am enjoying revisiting them and hope to discover
some that have only recently been open to the public.
Enjoying the view over the wonderful park like gardens ,that are bordered by an avenue of trees.
Wearing white to mark the last hurrah of Summer. After some hot, humid weather recently ,cooler
early Autumn days are forecast later in the week.
Topping off the white I added a silk pewter coloured trench style coat that has been a favourite
for some time, though in the past worn more formally with black pants.
The original gatehouse with its gabled window and roof makes a perfect backdrop for the accessories.
Wearing my old favourite cream and grey fedora , multi-strand glass beads, bangle , Chanel sunnies and
Ted Baker floral tote bag.
Raffy enjoyed his visit to the parkland at Clarendon , a great place for a walk.Don,t you love it
when your dog co-ordinates with your outfit . Raffy is now five months old and one busy ,little dog
bringing so much fun and joy to our family.
The reason for both shots ,in one Raffy is smiling, me in the other… we really should co-ordinate .
I too enjoy old architecture.. I wish I could preserve my grandma's house. It was stunning and we can hardly see that kind of house anymore. Anyway, I love this pairing you have on, especially love the pants. I can see myself wearing them. They make a perfect travel, sight-seeing pair. I've been seeing your pictures on Instagram. It is nice to see bigger ones on the blog!
Your grandmothers house sounds wonderful, their is something about old houses isn't there.Thank you for your kind comments and for visiting the blog.I am glad I found you on IG.
Don't you both look so trendy and hip! And what a cute dog Raffy is!
Oh thank you Tiina, Raffy enjoyed his day out too.
I love touring historic houses too, Jill. You look terrific and so does Raffy. : > Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xo.
There is something about the history of old houses I have always found fascinating and a peek of life of that era.Once again, many thanks for hosting Visible Monday.
Raffi is so cute! I love how modern and chic the white and pewter combo is, well done! 🙂
Thank you Laurie for your always kind comments.Raffy enjoyed his outing.
I agree with Laurie, so cute!! I love it when my dog and I coordinate. He is cream and caramel colored and I recently brought mention to my husband when I was trying to describe the color of my new purse. ha! I love the layers in your outfit here and really love the jacket!
Glad you liked the layering,Joni, this something I have done in the past, am rediscovering how useful it really is.Would love to see a Joni coordinated dog outfit some day.
Of course, I love mixing travel with fashion. What a wonderful backdrop for a photo shoot. Your outfit is fresh and lovely and Raffy is absolutely adorable! Makes me miss my Airedale terribly. We often had coordinated outfits, too!
Thank you Marea, our dogs become so much a part of the family ,they are so badly missed aren,t they.I always enjoy your travel posts and your travelling fashion.
Silver and white are so beautiful together, Jill! I can imagine that after hot and humid days cooler Autumn weather is so very welcomed. Ruffy has grown, and yes, adorable as always! I enjoy the photos of your trip and can't wait to see more when you have a chance to visit the house! xxxps Thank you for sharing the link to the Japanese senior style blog, it's wonderful, I went through all the posts! Sucn unexpected to me combinations. I think I understand your sense of style a little better now (it was always such an enigma to me).
A return visit to see more of this property is hopefully in the near future, without Raffy this time so we can explore the inside.Glad you liked the silver and white,it was just right for the warm day.So pleased you enjoyed the Japanese blog, I thought you would.
You look so cool and chic in this colour combo, and Raffy is delightful! I never knew there were such grand old houses down under.
Our historic houses were generally built for wealthy land owners, often with convict labour.I am sure they were built as a reminder of the old country.Glad you liked the outfit.
Raffi is adorable, and the perfect accessory to your outfit! You look like a movie star posing in the gatehouse doorway. There is such an elegance to your fashion choices. I just love seeing how you pull things together!Aliciaspashionista.com

Nice look for strolling in the park. You and your doggy look great together. When the owner's outfit and the pet's colour are coordinated it looks so cute. Love your beads necklace and the bag.

I LOVE the tote! Doesn't Ted Baker do prints well?Dogs really open our hearts. PS…You've had quite the adventurous life! I'd love to read more about it : ) bisousSuzannehttp://www.suzannecarillo.com
Suzanne you are so right about our dogs opening our hearts, they certainly bring much joy with them.Ted Baker's prints are always so pretty and because my wardrobe is mostly plain they always add a little touch.Your travel post did get me thinking and remembering, maybe a post about my travels sometime in the future.
So funny that your cute dog and you coordinate, I have to try that with our dog too. Love your look today, perfect to go on an adventure to visit it's old houses. Have a wonderful week, dear Lady.

Perfect choice of bags! I love an outfit comprised of solid hues that is punctuated by a boldly patterned purse like this. It's like hanging art on a white (or other solid coloured) wall. Fabulous styling, dear Jill.I hope you have a marvelous, fun filled weekend!♥ Jessica
Thankyou Jessica for your always so kind comments.
Wonderful gardens! What a pity you couldn't visit the house…but I am sure that little Raffy enjoyed the walk through the park…and his smile proves it!! :-)Your outfit looks comfortable but also very stylish! The colour of the trench goes very nice with white and the bag is lovely…A kiss to sweet Raffy!
Thank you Dan,Raffy did enjoy his visit to the gardens. He looks a very different little dog now after a visit to the dog groomer this week.
