Blowing In The Wind

The first week of summer here,

as often is the case it was

cooler, wet and windy.

A break in the weather,

a chance for some quick

photos , taken at the

storage area where

John stores and works

on his cars.

It is also where both

his and our sons kayaks

are stored and as a

trip was planned ,

loading them onto

the car was the order

of the day.

As he was photographer

how could I refuse to help,

minus the cream jacket,

a girl must be practicable.

Wearing a jacket by

Covers , sadly

like so many ,

this  small business

no longer exists.

Pairing the jacket

with wide leg cotton

pants by Nicola Waite

Pity about the crushing,

they are so great to

wear otherwise.

I can live with the creases.

Another jacket as

good going as coming,

I love the pleating detail.

I am now so pleased I

have collected several

unusual jackets over

many seasons.

Simply playing with

black and white.

Takes me back to

working for Kodak,

oh so many moons ago.

What do you think?

Good news for our

family this week,

our youngest son,

graduated uni finishing

with outstanding results.

Off to Melbourne next week

for his graduation ceremony.

A celebration and a city fix,

for me nothing better.

Joining the plaid clad Sacramento

for Share-in-Style.

What an interesting jacket! That unexpected pleated detail on the back – wow! And as it is white it can be paired with so many things. This is really a great garment to have in one's wardrobe. Love your wide leg trousers too, such a comfy thing.

My very happiest congratulations to your dear son on his uni grad! What an awesome accomplishment! I love this outfit, Jill. The wide legged pants (a personal fave style of mine) instantly bring Katharine Hepburn to mind and you know, I could see her wearing this whole ensemble were she still with us today. It's so classic, classy and becoming.Big hugs & a great many thanks for you immensely lovely (and touching) comment on yesterday's post,♥ Jessica
