One of the joys of Spring
for me is seeing the
garden come to life.
A magnolia tree in
full bloom signalling
the arrival of spring
in spectacular fashion.
Making the most of a
warm spring day,
enjoying natures gifts.
Today is Fathers Day,
remembering my father
and celebrating today
with a great Dad,
my husband John.
This week also is my
wedding anniversary,
it is our 38th.
My first summer hat,
a grey and cream fedora,
bought in Sydney several
years ago.
The pewter necklace
has a heart and a tassle,
missing in the photo.
A new season brings
with it change and
the joy and challenge
of the new.
Wearing a pewter and
silver jacket , recently
purchased at a Red Cross
charity shop.
Worn with black pants.
White and mauve bangle.
Time to enjoy the
new season,
Spring for the
southern hemisphere,
Autumn for the northern
hemisphere.
Taking Spring to
join Visible Monday.
Incredibly chic outfit, Jill. Love the entire look and so beautifully photographed in front of that magnolia tree. You look good in a hat. You should wear them more!
Thank you Marea, I do love a hat and have a steadily growing collection.
You have a knack for color mixing that comes off so incredibly high-end and timeless! Happy Spring, Happy Father's Day, and Happy Anniversary :-)Aliciaspashionista.com
Thank you so much Alicia for your good wishes and kind comments.
You have a great collection of hats! These earth tones look so good with your natural colouring, too. Spring looks lovely in your part of the world. Happy anniversary!
Spring here as is often the case everywhere is very unpredictable weather wise, today is pouring with rain and blowing a gale.My hats have been collected over time and added to as I find another I cant live without.Have a good week, Tiina.
Stylish and chic as ever my dear!xoxoTamera
Thank you so much dear Tamera, a great compliment coming from ever so stylish you.
Wow! That magnolia is amazing! And you look fab in that jacket and hat! 🙂
Thank you Laurie, so glad we took photos on Sunday, today is raining and windy, literally blowing petals off the tree.
You found that jacket at a charity shop? We (the two Mrs. James's) would have had to battle over that one! I absolutely love it. Your wardrobe is very classy.Isn't that interesting about both of us owning a Mazda? I have a friend in town here who has an older red one too. It still looks great. My gas sensors are what has gone out the last two times the engine light came on. Something that wouldn't have allowed me to pass emissions testings according to my mechanic. Now the engine light is on again and my emissions testing is due this week so I'm just days from finding out if something is truly amiss again. Otherwise, I've heard that the engine light can come on for a 50,000 service, which is very close to right now. I hope it's only that. It's been a fun car to own other than that.Thank you for visiting my blog!
Joni, I will admit this was one lucky find, this is normally a quite pricey brand.Hope you sort your Mazdas problems without too much expense, they are a good , fun little car would be a shame if yours had to go.
Darling Jill … you glamourous woman, you! It takes a brave girl to pose with such fabulous blossoms, but you surely don't take second place in that hat and in that beyond-gorgeous jacket. Congratulations on your anniversary! Clearly you were a child bride!
Jan, you flatterer you, child bride, definately not. So pleased we took photos last week with the magnolia, it has now rained and the flowers not so stunning any more, happens most years. Thanks for your always generous comments.
The incoming spring has filled your garden with wonderful flowers! And surely they bring joy into your life…magnolia flowers are so beautiful! I love your spring hat, it's lovable on you!! Many congratulations for your anniversary!
