Summer is still a long way off
in my part of the world.
SO
I have cheated a little for
Share-in-Style`s theme
of summer and used
this image taken last summer.
BUT
As today was 12C this is
what I really wore for
a winter beach visit.
.Enjoying the winter sunshine
on the pebbly, river side beach,
wearing skirt by Verge and
jacket by Lisa Ho.
The jacket and skirt trim
reflecting the colour of the sand..
A hat by Helen Kaminski
encrusted with jewel toned
stones reflects the colours
in the background.
Last week saw a
change of fortune
work wise, I have
a month of part time
work for September.
This may lead to something
more permanent but
time will tell.
Making the most of every day,
keeping busy in the garden,
catching up with friends
and rediscovering the joy
that regular exercise can bring.
The inner child in me
loves nothing better than to swing.
I just can`t help myself
whenever I see a swing
I just have to jump on and
swing to my hearts desire.
The little girl never really
grows up.
Swinging over to join
Sacramento and the summery
souls at Share-in-Style
..
Love the brim on that hat and I am still loving your hair! I'm the same way about a swing. It's hard to pass one up! Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
It must be the little girl in us that still loves a swing, may she appear often.Enjoy your week Debbie
Great hat, and goes well with the outfit. On the topic of fixed-term / part-time work: as a veteran freelancer (over 20 years), I would say take not just one job, but two or three, and forget loyalty, have no expectations. I usually have 4-5 employers (all part-time jobs) at any one time and juggle those as I see fit. I make work fit around my schedule and always take the job that pays the most… And I've "fired" a few employers who weren't treating me fairly.
Thank you Tiina for this great advice, the workplace is changing so we must adapt too. Glad you liked the hat.
I love, love, love your skirt and WANT, WANT WANT your gorgeous jacket.Thank you sooooooooooo much for being part of the Share-in-Style family.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thank you Sacramento, so glad you liked the outfit. Always enjoy Share-in_Style and seeing everyone from around the globe.
You always have the cutest jackets. I am looking forward to the weather cooling off a bit so I can start wearing jackets again. I think you and I must have opposite seasons. I'm in the Pacific Northwest and fall is almost here. In fact, the other night was the first time I had to close the bedroom window. You are brave on that swing! I think as I got older they make me feel queezy now.
I have always been a lover of jackets and have collected many over several years. The wearing of coats and jackets for me makes winter bearable. I am in Australia, so our seasons are opposite to yours, I will look forward to your winter looks as we swelter in summer Joni.
