Burnt Orange In The Park

Out and about, visiting one of our local parks, named Princess Square, which has been a

public garden since the 1850’s.

The  imposing fountain has been in its pride of place since 1857

and the fish  in the outside ponds have provided much entertainment for

generations of children, including my sister and I and then our children.

A duster coat in burnt orange mimics the

turning colours of the leaves on the many

old giant oak trees.

Adding a wide brim, velvet trim hat that I have had since

the early 1980’s, an animal print top, black pants

and suede sling backs, quite high so

sadly only worn when not much walking involved.

The spire in the background is St, Johns Church, one of our

beautiful early colonial churches.

This fellow is William Pugh, an early physician, who pioneered

anaesthesia here, at the building in the backgound,

which was St. Johns Hospital, now a private residence.

Here ends today’s tour, I enjoyed sharing a

part of my world with you!

Jill, your ensemlbe is perfectly put together. That combination of pieces I would wear on any given day. Pairing burnt orange with leopard print is a beautiful combination and that jacket is, Oh, so wonderful. But my very favorite item (which I would love to take right off your cute little head) is that stunning hat. You look wonderful in this attire.

This warm, rich, elegant shade of orange is sublime on you, dear Jill. Seriously, rarely have I seen it look anywhere near as becoming on a person as it looks on you in these photos. And as a side note, I must mention how much my husband would adore your ensemble, too, as orange is his favourite colour ever. Big hugs & many thanks for your lovely comment on yesterday's Italian honeymoon post (I hope your son and his partner have a safe and very enjoyable trip),♥ Jessica

What a cool tour … but you are far and away the most impressive item in the photos! You look fabulous in orange, or coral, or rust … but not many do! Lucky you. Love the line the heels give you! You just have to wear them until you don't notice discomfort any more … they look really good. Very chic, Jill !
