Standing next to my husband’s pride and joy, an MG TD 1953.
This car and I were both born in the same year.
The car is now classified as vintage for registration purposes, so
I’m not sure if that makes me vintage too.
Adding a red sash, from another dress, changes
the look of a coat that I have owned and loved for
quite a while.
Both my new necklace and my black pixie hat are having
their first outing.
My red bow slingbacks were the order of the day.
Its always fun taking something well worn and
loved and adding a new touch to make it
sing again!
Wearing a coat by Harry Who, an Australian designer,
who retired his business last year after designing for
40 years.
Worn over black crop pant and long singlet top
by Paula Ryan.
My red shoes are Urban Sole.
Black pixie hat is 1940,s , my first online hat purchase,
from Alley Cats Vintage through Ruby Lane.

The pleasure is all mine!
Great get up to go with you husband's other favorite girl! You look quite stylish with your elegant red and black choices.I almost bought a similar model of MG in 1969. I was ready to buy it from my girlfriend's dad … loan secured and everything … when my friend decided to break into dad's liquor cabinet, then take the car for one last joy ride and ram my little roadster up the back side of a Ford Fairlane. Totaled it. So sad! And my friend came out of it with scratched knees. Urk.
Thank you Jan. What a sad story and what a waste of a lovely little car, you must have been devastated. John has owned this since 1971, before I came into his life.
Fabulous car, but of course you knew that. I love the red sash on that coat – it adds such dashing style, as befits someone standing near that car!
Thanks Val, the car always attracts attention wherever it goes!
Wow, now that is an incredible car if ever there was one. I can completely see why it's your husband's absolute pride and joy. You make for a beautiful, and very chicly attired automobile model standing next to it, dear Jill. ♥ Jessica
