BLUE AND WHITE

Today as I posed in my kitchen by the dresser

I reflected on its history..

it was a surprise 21st birthday from John

way before we were married ,

It proudly displays my  blue and white china,

collected from far and wide over many years.,

I enjoy mixing new and not so new, both

in my house and my dressing.

Just found your blog and reading back through some posts :-)"My hat dates from the 1950's (,me too.)" this made me chuckle. I too date back to the 50s, great times. I, however, have not kept anything from back then. I wish I had been a hoarder. I would love to just open up a box of my past. Instead I trawl ebay searching for reminders. I recently bought a couple of tiny blue porcelain trinket boxes as they were the exact same ones my mother used to keep on her bedside table to keep her earrings in. I also bought a Noddy egg cup because I used to have the same one as a child. What a funny old world :-)Great to meet you.Pop by for a chat.DiX

Thankyou Di, for stopping by. I am glad now that I come from a family of hoarders, as many things contain so many memories., like some of our original Noddy books. X Jill

What an elegantly gorgeous piece of furniture and china collection you have! I would want to pose in front of it for an outfit shoot if I had one akin to it as well. The blue in the dishes really makes the white in your chic outfit pop all the more. Big hugs & many thanks for your lovely comment on Thursday's post,♥ Jessica
